Mark is sliding but he ran woefully last time at Thirsk over this trip. Is now an eight-race maiden and is very hard to recommend when others make far greater appeal. Look elsewhere.
The most in-form contender in this field. Consistency hard to knock after a trio of second-placed finishes. Up 2lb, but returns to 6f for the first time since she won over C&D in May and she is a likeable filly.
10-race maiden but she has shaped much more encouragingly of late. Only beaten a half-length when second at Doncaster (6f; good) last time and despite being raised 4lb for that narrow miss, her yard are going through a purple patch.
Excuses last time when on wrong side of the track at Carlisle (6f; heavy). Solid pair of placed efforts before that and her stable has been operating at a 30% strike-rate over the last two weeks so is worth a second look.
Not disgraced when fourth on seasonal/stable debut in a maiden over C&D on vastly different ground to what is expected now. 0-8 but is an interesting contender on handicap debut nonetheless off what is a fair opening mark.
Showed marked improvement upon recent efforts when outrunning 33-1 odds to grab third at Ayr (6f; good to firm) last time. Claims if he is capable of reproducing that form off an unchanged mark.
Showed little zest when returned to 6f at Pontefract (6f; good) recently. Further 2lb lower now but has been struggling form throughout all of this year and he can only be opposed.
Much more like it with a pair of placed efforts of late. Runner-up to well-fancied favourite at Yarmouth (6f; heavy) last time. Player off the same mark but reservations about her on quicker ground.
Steps up to 6f on handicap debut after a trio of fairly low-key efforts in maidens. Should enjoy success at this level, although she does need to improve on what she has done so far. That is entirely possible though.
Fair to say after three attempts, he has not shown any improvement for the switch to the handicap sphere. Returns to 6f now after weakening quickly over 7f at Beverley. Has been dropped a further 5lb by the handicapper since then.
Shaped with a tad more promise when fifth at Doncaster (6f; good) last time, but he would still need to improve a fair way upon the bare form of that effort if he is to be considered a genuine player.
Raced exclusively over 6f in all four career starts. Interesting to see how he fares on the forecast good to firm ground, given all of his form is on ground with give in it. Too much to prove.
Never looked dangerous on any of his three starts so far this year. Dropped a further 3lb after being well-beaten at Beverley (7f; good to soft) recently, and returns to 6f but makes very little appeal.

Plenty in this penultimate race are struggling for form, but not FAIRY FAST who is clear first pick. She scored over C&D not long ago, and although she has finished second in each of her last three races, she has done very little wrong in defeat. It would be disappointing if she was unable to regain the winning thread. Montalvan represents an in-form trainer/jockey combo and although he is still winless after 10 career starts, he posted a career-best when going close at Doncaster last time and a reproduction of that would allow him to go close. Rangefield Express is also worth a mention on his handicap debut after faring okay on his first start for this stable recently.
