Showed inexperience on debut when beaten a long way in 10th over C&D. Should be more street-wise now and it would be a major disappointment if she was unable to get involved for powerful connections.

Morpheus filly who was unraced as a two-year-old. Cost just £10,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to three winners. Unlikely to trouble the leading contenders.

Made a very pleasing start to life when runner-up on debut at Newbury (1m; soft) last month. Encounters different conditions now but could be very hard to beat if able to cope with it.

Just behind Jadeerah on first handicap start last month. Doesn't seem to be progressing. Now steps up to 1m and should be there at the business end of the race but others seem more solid propositions.

Improved markedly upon last seasons debut effort when making seasonal return at Windsor (1m; good) last week and belying odds of 100-1 to finish fifth. Could make the frame if improving again.

Well-bred Lope De Vega filly who cost E120,000 as a yearling. Half-sister to four winners including UAE Group 3 winner GM Hopkins. Could easily be talented enough to win this on debut.

Dabirsim filly. Made E100,000 as a two-year-old. Yard out of form at present. Tricky to know what to expect on debut. Look elsewhere for safer candidates.
Makes seasonal reappearance after finishing down the field on debut at Kempton (7f; standard to slow). Unlikely to feature on the basis of that effort and a watching brief is advised.

Steps up to 1m on third start, but is impossible to fancy after failing to beat a single rival in her short career so far. Remains best watched.

Verdict

This is a contest in which it may pay to follow the untapped potential that LOPE SCHOLAR brings into the race. This beautifully bred daughter of Lope De Vega is making her racecourse debut in an uncompetitive affair and could get her racing career off to a dream start. Beauty Of Deira has the benefit of experience on her side and rates as a big danger to the selection, after finishing runner-up to the talented Qamka at Newbury first time out. The Hamdan Al Maktoum pairing of Jadeerah and Aladaala can battle it out for the minor placings with vastly better expected from the latter of the two.
  1. Lope Scholar
  2. Beauty Of Deira
  3. Jadeerah
