Produced a more solid performance last time when fourth over C&D. Behind Tarseekh that day, though only has to give that rival 4lb this time round so every chance he can reverse the form.
Not running badly at present. Work to do to get closer to Prince Rock who he was fifth behind over C&D two starts back. No surprise if he were able to get involved though, as he is running more consistently at the moment.
Struggling for form at the moment and failed to beat a single rival home at Brighton (7f; soft) most recently. Competing off a career-low mark now, but has too much to prove.
Likes it at this track (has won over C&D in the past) and was in front of Ventriloquist when runner-up over C&D last month. Reliable sort, which cannot be said about many in the line-up and he makes lots of appeal.
Good third over C&D when he sandwiched Prince Rock and Come On Bear last time. Progressing with each run since returning to the track in April, and likely to be thereabouts once again. Big player and interesting jockey booking.
Found life tough in maidens, and although he must do much, much more, the switch to this sphere does offer hope for an improved showing. Market likely to be informative.
Makes return to the track after short 121-day break. Hard to know what to expect as he tends to need the run after a break, but wasn't running poorly when last seen. No surprise if he were to sneak a place.
Lightly raced and demonstrated a good jolt of improvement for the switch to handicaps when fourth over C&D last month. Behind Prince Rock then, but not impossible to see him reverse the form with that rival on just his fifth career start.
0-14. Beaten four-and-a-half lengths into second by Captain Dion over C&D last month. Showed obvious improvement from debut effort that day and similar progress would allow him to feature. Dropped 1lb by the handicapper since latest run.
Sent off at 50/1 and 100/1 and has ran accordingly the last twice. Some of his more promising runs have been achieved over C&D but he would still have to find a fair bit on the bare form of those to get involved here.
Won over C&D in 2016 but has been desperately disappointing of late. Is subsequently hard to recommend when in such dire form and can only be watched.
Did have winning form to his name last season, but has gone right off the boil of late. Latest effort when sixth at Southwell (7f; standard) was more encouraging. Reproduction of that would probably be good enough to see him involved.
Eight-race maiden who has never threatened to land a blow in any of his career starts so far. Runs off a basement mark and is readily opposed.
Pulled-up at Chepstow (2m; good) over hurdles recently. Had endured three unsuccessful outings on the flat prior to that. Simply cannot be fancied on what he has offered so far.

Brigand (9/4), Prince Rock (9/2), Tarseekh (5/1), Ventriloquist (5/1), Kafoo (7/1), Bird of Wonder (12/1), Shyarch (14/1), Captain Sedgwick (14/1), Come On Bear (16/1), Good Luck Charm (25/1), Out Of The Ashes (33/1), Plucky Dip (33/1), Lady Carduros (33/1), Vallachy (33/1), Caledonian Gold (40/1), Patienceisavirtue (66/1)
An extremely tricky puzzle to solve with minimum stakes advised on this contest. The selection though is TARSEEKH who has produced a string of consistent efforts at this track over C&D recently and was only beaten a length by a well-fancied sort last time. He should be able to regain the winning thread ahead of Prince Rock & Brigand who are very closely matched on the form of their run over C&D recently when they had no chance with the winner. The former was only ahead of the latter by a neck that day and it will be interesting to see where they finish this time round.
- Tarseekh
- Prince Rock
- Brigand
