Won twice from three starts this season including over 6f on soft ground at Goodwood last time out. Raised 6lb for that victory is one for the shortlist in this contest.
Beaten 7L when sixth over an extended 5f at Brighton (good-to-firm) two months ago. Given a break since and races off a mark 4lb lower than for his latest success.
Put a below par effort behind him when finishing runner-up over this C&D on good-to-firm ground last month. Races off the same mark here and makes a quick reappearance having finished 4L sixth at Newmarket (5f, good) on Thursday.
Victorious five times most recently on the AW at Wolverhampton (5f) last August. Not beaten far when fifth over 5f at Sandown (soft) last start and races off a mark 3lb lower than for his latest success.
Came home 3L clear of his rivals when taking a 6f handicap at Brighton (good) earlier this month. Below that form in two subsequent starts including over this trip at Redcar (good) a week ago.
C&D winner was making her seasonal debut when finishing last of seven in a 5f handicap at Windsor (good-to-firm) earlier this month. Hood worn for the first time that day is retained.
C&D winner has struggled in the main since winning over this trip on firm ground at Bath 13 months ago. Probably best watched in first time tongue tie following a heavy defeat over the same C&D earlier this week.
Improved on seasonal debut when finishing 2¾L fifth over 5f on the AW here earlier this month. Races off a 1lb lower mark here and market support would be notable.
Failed to beat a rival home in two starts this year including on good-to-firm ground over an extended 5f at Brighton last time out. Has won over C&D in the past but is probably best watched racing from out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Spanish Star (2/1), Enthaar (3/1), Key To Power (5/1), Secretfact (7/1), Arzaak (12/1), Country Rose (12/1), Roundabout Magic (16/1), Silverrica (16/1), Flowing Clarets (28/1)
SPANISH STAR can continue his good run of form by registering a third victory in four starts in this sprint handicap. Enthaar showed good form when finishing runner-up here last time out and he can fill the same position in this event while third place can go to Secretfact who has won off a higher mark in the past.
