Finally got off the mark when readily scoring at Hamilton late last month before following it up with a nice win at Brighton. Step up in trip looks to suit and will be popular in the market.

Still looking for his first win since switching from AP O'Brien. Two creditable efforts at Doncaster and York over 1m4f this season and looks the type who will improve for this slight step up in trip. Market support would bode well for his chances.

Generally consistent aside from his final appearance last season. Very good effort at Kempton on his seasonal reappearance before running below latest at Newcastle. Might have appreciated short break and not out of the reckoning on best of form.

Was in good form last season winning races at Carlisle and Ascot. Three below par runs this season and does appear to be handicapped up to his best; others preferred.

Won three times in quick succession last season at Hamilton, Beverley and Haydock. Generally consistent but may need to drift down the handicap to get back to winning ways.

Showed his current well-being with two fine performances in defeat this season at Newmarket and Hamilton. Can throw in the occasional poor performance these days but capable on his day.

Ran up to his best when landing a Hamilton handicap last month over 1m4f. Ran below par for no obvious reason last time out at Newmarket. Good chance if bouncing back and market support would be interesting..

A winner on his final start of last season (Leicester 1m2f) and a winner again on his reappearance (Wolverhampton 1m4f). Not disgraced when upped in class at York last month and certainly one for the shortlist from a powerful stable.

Has been remarkably consistent since winning races at Kempton and Newbury around this time last season. Still entitled to improve and this step up in trip should help.

Has generally struggled to get competitive over a variety of trips since winning a decent race at Pontefract last June. Not out of this on best of form and ran fairly well last time out in slowly run contest 12 days ago (Pontefract 1m4f).

Seems to have improved over the winter and bettered a winning run at Newcastle when not beaten far in decent York handicap (1m2f) last month. Below par latest but respected.

Made a winning debut for this yard at Bath in April having left Sir Michael Stoute, but very disappointing at Newmarket when stepped up in trip last time, and needs to bounce back to be competitive.

Some patchy performances since joining from Ed Dunlop this season. Best effort came two starts ago at Epsom but below par last time out at York. Others preferred on balance of form.

Has been running well of late and not beaten far in handicaps here at Ayr and at Hamilton. Should run his race and may enjoy the step up in trip but could struggle from out of the handicap.

Verdict

There is likely to be interest in the in-form Charles Kingsley and the Sir Michael Stoute contender Crystal King and both are entitled to win this but preference here goes to the lightly-raced INDIANAPOLIS who has shaped with promise on his two outings this year and looks like relishing this step up in trip. Theglasgowwarrior and Desert Point are others to consider if their prices are appealing.
