All three wins have come at 6f and not certain this drop in trip will prove ideal. Faded close home over C&D last time having been raised 5lb in pursuit of a hat-trick. Chance but may be in handicapper's clutches now.
Two wins here already this term at both 5f and 6f. Up 3lb following three-quarters-of-a-length success over 6f here two weeks ago but hard to rule out another bold show in current form at a track he loves.
Represents last year's winning trainer. Landed Tipperary 5f maiden for Joseph O'Brien last term and has run respectably all outings to date for current handler. May need to ease a touch in the weights before he strikes again though.
Won three times at 6f last term and landed another at that trip on seasonal return before following up at Lingfield last time, making all over 5f. 7lb rise makes life much tougher but is in fine shape at present.
Looked a progressive juvenile with two wins over 5f last summer. Hasn't looked the same horse in four starts so far this season and despite 11lb drop is hard to get too excited about on current evidence.
Placed twice on AW earlier this term then fine runner-up in York sprint handicap in May. Backed that up off 4lb higher rating when winning Doncaster novice stakes in easy fashion last time and has good prospects off same mark.
Won Southwell AW novice stakes last winter and ran well on turf recently in first-time visor, finishing second and handling soft ground well. Up 2lb for that but is no forlorn hope.
Forecasts
Moss Gill (6/4), Tenax (9/2), Look Out Louis (9/2), Chitra (6/1), Mark's Choice (8/1), Good Luck Fox (16/1), Scale Force (16/1)
An interesting sprint handicap can go the way of MOSS GILL, who has run well in both recent starts, latterly scoring easily in a lesser event at Doncaster. Mark's Choice looks a big danger. He goes very well at this track and has won 3-4 starts of late, including over C&D. Chitra is another in-form sprinter and her chance cannot be dismissed despite a 7lb rise in her mark, while Tenax and Look Out Louis also have claims in a decent contest.
- Moss Gill
- Mark's Choice
- Tenax
