7lb higher than Carlisle heavy ground win two starts back and disappointing in similar conditions off this mark over 6f at Haydock when slowly away. Capable off this mark on old form but hard to predict.
Losing run stretches back to October 2017 despite being now 10lb lower. Handles soft but unproven on heavy ground and needs to find plenty on his recent form.
Veteran handles soft but generally prefers better ground than this. Looks to be happier in a lower grade than this nowadays and likely to find a couple too good again.
Eight-time career winner but below her best in three starts this year and this is tougher than her latest Ripon fourth. Handles soft ground and although 10lb below last winning mark, others may be better suited by these extreme conditions.
Below par in last two runs on soft ground since returning from an AW campaign. Just 1lb below last winning turf mark and does handle soft ground so that suggests he needs to find plenty more on his recent form.
Back-to-back winner on the AW at Wolverhampton in January ending a losing run going back to her soft ground debut win in 2016. 5L to find with Afandem from latest Carlisle second but kept on well and has more to offer in these conditions.
Lightly-raced and enjoyed a decent run of form but blew the start and always in rear in a big field at Thirsk on turf debut. This is a tougher race still and unproven in these conditions.
Seven-race maiden but went close in a Redcar novice on soft ground last year in a clear career best. Looked to need the run on reappearance and unseated when clipping heels last time. Has shown pace that a drop to this trip could suit.
Forecasts
Afandem (3/1), Santafiora (4/1), Lydiate Lady (4/1), Han Solo Berger (6/1), Bronze Beau (8/1), Atyaaf (8/1), Red Allure (10/1), The Golden Cue (14/1)
Afandem can be slowly away but if he gets back to the form of his previous stylish win, he could be hard to beat. Santafiora chased him home there and clearly enjoyed the heavy ground. In a race lacking strong contenders a chance is taken that the recently out of luck RED ALLURE will have the pace and stamina that could suit in these conditions.
