Respected on the pick of his efforts but is prone to running the odd stinker and all four career wins have been on AW surfaces. Fair effort at Windsor last month and, eased 2lb, return to 1m4f is a positive.
Ridden forward on third start for this handler over 1m4f on Wolverhampton's AW track a week ago and duly off the mark. Carries 5lb penalty but entitled to be in the shake-up no less.
Likeable sort, without a win in Britain since 2017 (successful in St Moritz since) but has twice knocked on the door last month. Runner-up here (1m6f, good; 12-1) and close third at Chepstow (1m4½f, good; 7-1) from this mark since.
Back from a short break when scoring at Chepstow (1m4f, good; 10-1) last month, racing prominently and battling well; held since at Newbury under 5lb penalty but far from disgraced. Drawn wide here.
Best effort to date when second over this trip at Catterick last July, but missed the rest of the year. Looked rusty on his return at Windsor 39 days ago, entitled to step up on that effort.
Intello filly, showed plenty promise in France before joining this yard and runner-up on debut at Wolverhampton (1m4f, AW; 7-2) in April, perhaps unsuited by lack of pace. Worth a look here for in-form stable.
Has run only three times since gaining fifth career victory at Chester back in July 2016. Certainly appeared to need the run there last month, but an improved effort now ruled out.
Gelded last year, maiden of seven races but shaped with some promise last time at Chepstow (1m4f, good; 7-1) in a race won by Carp Kid. 4lb better off here and first-time visor is tried, may do better.
Mare won two of final three starts last year at Brighton over 1m4f and picked up where she left off with winning return at Windsor (1m3½f, 8-1) in April. Second to Carp Kid since at Chepstow. Revised terms appealing.
Maiden winner on the Flat in Ireland for Joseph O'Brien in August last year, struggled after in handicaps before leaving. No impact over hurdles/Flat so far for this trainer and has ground to make up on Kirkland Forever from Windsor meeting.
Just two wins from 38 starts although has been running to a consistent level of late. Was 4¾L down on Kirkland Forever at Windsor (1m3½f, good; 16-1) in April when last sighted.

Carp Kid (5/1), Cacophonous (5/1), French Riviera (5/1), Kirkland Forever (6/1), Berrahri (7/1), Unit of Assessment (8/1), Horatio Star (8/1), Lost History (9/1), Famous Dynasty (20/1), Navajo War Dance (25/1), Marengo (28/1), Ace Combat (40/1)
Carp Kid got the better of Kirkland Forever at Chepstow last month, showing a determined attitude in doing so. He's been held since at Newbury and his racing style ensures he takes plenty out of himself. Eve Johnson Houghton's runner might well reverse those prior placing on revised terms. Lost History and Berrahri are notables in good form but the vote goes to FRENCH RIVIERA. The lightly-raced import ran well on the AW on her British bow (second) and with Ralph Beckett's team in superb form now, there should be more to come if she gets a better pace to aim at now.
- French Riviera
- Kirkland Forever
- Berrahri
