Last victory came over C&D in September off this mark and with today's rider on board. Neither run this year has promised a great deal, but she had been on the sidelines 140 days prior to her most recent run.
Landed a Class 4 over C&D to open his account in November. Best run since also came here and off today's mark so one to consider.
Justified support to gan his first win at the tenth time of asking when ridden positively at Newcastle (1m). Not overburdened off just 3lb higher and has gone well here in the past, but most of his form is over longer trips.
Picked up a couple of races here earlier in the year but form has been on the wane lately. Tackles 7f for the first time from a wide draw and others are more appealing.
Posted two good runs at Chelmsford in April but has failed to build on those performances. Career record stands at 2-18 and 2lb below last winning mark, but style of running requires luck and those victories have come in smaller fields.
Goes well for this rider and signalled he would not be long in winning last time out. Has been placed here in the past and back in the grade which has provided both his victories.
Gained a fourth C&D victory two weeks ago and that puts him on a career high mark in a better race. Also has a wide draw to contend with.
Record of 5-16 with the latest coming here in October off this mark over a mile. Effective at this trip too and little wrong with her last two starts, but a wide draw tempers enthusiasm.
Has gone two years without a win and he was rated 92 at the time. Best recent effort came over C&D in February and on the last occasion this rider was onboard. Has been hit and miss at the start since.
Lightly raced maiden who only found Matterhorn too good on debut. Not disgraced either start since and opening mark looks fair enough, although wide draw on return from a break makes this tougher.
3-8 on AW and beat Coverham at Chelmsford in April and reopposes on 2lb better terms, although that rival is a lot better around here. Out of his depth since over an inadequate trip and makes more appeal here with top rider on board.
Gained a third career victory when making all at Lingfield but only beat one home on her next start. Blinkers need to inspire as she has been soundly beaten on all starts off marks of 70+.
Made an encouraging debut here in early 2018 but has proved disappointing since over a variety of trips. Off 10 months having been gelded since his last run and this the shortest trip he has tackled thus far.
2-6 here and also placed twice. Just 1lb above last winning mark and will be better for his latest run which came after a six month absence, although ultimately he finished well beaten.
Forecasts
Quick Breath (4/1), Tum Tum (9/2), Smokey Lane (5/1), Full Intention (8/1), Coverham (8/1), The Lamplighter (8/1), Met By Moonlight (10/1), Yimou (11/1), Grey Galleon (16/1), Fortune And Glory (16/1), Dark Side Dream (16/1), Choral Music (25/1), Choice Encounter (33/1), Dark Crocodile (66/1)
A case can be made for Fortune And Glory and Dark Side Dream on their best form although their latest efforts hardly signalled their turn was near. Coverham will be seeking a fifth course success but he looks held by FULL INTENTION who beat him at Chelmsford and who has fared better in the draw for this. Yimou is not set a hard task on handicap debut if fit and ready, whist Grey Galleon and Smokey Lane are others to enter calculations.
- Full Intention
- Coverham
- Grey Galleon
