Disappointing last time, but not out of the first two on his previous seven starts, and while his recent form is on Polytrack, he's equally effective on turf. Likely to bounce back.

Needed drop to claiming company to get back to winning ways at Wolverhampton last time. Has since left David O'Meara, and needs more to be competitive back in a handicap.

Won three times on fast turf in 2017, but missed last year. Back to best with visor refitted when fourth at Sandown last time, and has a fair chance if he can build on that.

Has won handicaps over C&D and at Bath this season, but disappointed over 7f at Newmarket last time, and not proving easy to predict.

Mixed bag after winning at Wolverhampton last March, beating just one rival in three turf starts later in the year. Very well treated on old form now, but does have a bit to prove on balance.

Turned the clock back to register first win in almost three years at Newbury on his return (under this rider). Every chance with a repeat, but not noted for his consistency in recent times.

Only beaten narrowly despite being unplaced on return at Chelmsford, but went backwards when down the field at Ascot last time with no obvious excuse. Needs to bounce back.

Forecasts

I'vegotthepower (9/4), Wind In My Sails (7/2), Mr Tyrrell (4/1), Medieval (5/1), Family Fortunes (7/1), Maratha (8/1), Ballard Down (9/1), Letsbe Avenue (12/1)

Verdict

Wind In My Sails is strictly the one to beat based on his Newbury win under Toby Eley, who can claim his full 7lb allowance here. He's not exactly been a model of consistency in recent times, though, and preference is for I'VEGOTTHEPOWER who ran well at Sandown last time, and could prove harder to catch at this venue. Family Fortunes is forgiven a rare poor run last time, and is also considered in a tricky contest.
