Sprung a surprise when winning at Newcastle (AW) over 7f two starts back but disappointing over the same C&D last time. Down in grade but remains inconsistent and likely to find these conditions too fast.
Nine-time winner down another 3lb and dropping rapidly in the weights. Has gone close over this C&D previously and step back up in distance should suit. On a fair mark and could be competitive.
10-time career winner is best when being allowed his own way up front. Yet to win over further than 7f but stays fine and handles any ground. On a good mark and possibilities but a bit more needed on current form.
Carried some good AW form over to turf when second in selling company at Thirsk. Steps up in class and stamina a query at first try at this far. Stable also runs Kroy and has won this three times in the last 10 years.
Placed the last twice and remains on a good mark but an infrequent winner and best form has come at sprint distances. This distance may pose a query and others look stronger candidates.
Best form has come at shorter but stayed this trip when sixth to Make On Madam in this race last year. Competitively weighted at 4lb below last win but needs to raise his game from his three starts this campaign.
Last win came over this C&D in July 2017 and now 10lb lower. Returned from wind surgery and benefited for his first run back when second over a mile at Ayr. On a long losing run but likely to be fitter still and can be involved.
Made all to win over this C&D at the beginning of the month and handles any ground. Up 3lb but has won off much higher marks in the past. Will face competition for the lead but is tactically versatile and likely to go close again.
Sole win came in novice company on his second start for Simon Crisford but well held in three starts for this stable. Dropping a further 3lb but needs to find plenty of improvement and remains best watched.
Won this race last year off 4lb lower but came into that renewal off the back of two good runs back. Ended last season out of form and was disappointing on her reappearance last month. Others look more reliable at present.
Yet to win on turf following 13 starts with both wins coming on the AW. Disappointing last twice and hard to fancy from 4lb out of the handicap. Stable also runs Dandy Highwayman and has won this three times in the last 10 years.

Mujassam (5/1), Mywayistheonlyway (5/1), Gabrial The Tiger (11/2), Abushamah (11/2), Atletico (6/1), Tiercel (10/1), Al Ozzdi (10/1), Round The Island (12/1), Dandy Highwayman (14/1), Make On Madam (16/1), How Bizarre (20/1), Kroy (33/1)
There's plenty of pace on offer here which includes ABUSHAMAH but he doesn't need to lead and remains attractively handicapped following his latest C&D win. Mywayistheonlyway should be spot on for this following two runs back and rates a danger while Mujassam is also getting to a very winnable mark and suited by this extra stamina test.
- Abushamah
- Mywayistheonlyway
- Mujassam
