Won a Class 5 novice event on final start as a juvenile but he's failed to improve on that in three AW starts this year. Won on turf on debut so perhaps return to it will help here and champion jockey booking must be noted.
Progressive as a juvenile where he won at Redcar before finishing third at Windsor. Chester reappearance forgiven as ground went against him. Better now expected and mark undoubtedly within range.
Turf/handicap debutant won first two starts on AW before finishing second at Wolverhampton under double penalty. Not harshly treated considering solid start and rates a leading contender here.
7f Chester winner at two outran 33/1 odds when a 2¾L fifth on return at the same venue over 6f. Again left the impression there that he may want further so may get going too late here.
Won at Ffos Las (5f) and Yarmouth (6f) already this season and other two starts forgiven due to one being on heavy and latest where given too much to do. 6f on a fast surface ideal and respected here given progressive nature.
Upped 6lb for winning 20-runner 6f Thirsk handicap latest, his second career score. Can do better still going forward and again respected here.
Yarmouth winner over this trip on debut, but signed off her juvenile campaign with an ordinary run in a conditions race at Leicester and well held on return at Doncaster on handicap bow. Others preferred.
Off the mark at Windsor in his fourth and final two-year-old start where he won a 14-runner novice event. Gelded since and can't be dismissed on handicap bow, market may be a useful guide.
Dual Wolverhampton winner (7f/6f) in the winter, the latter on handicap debut. Struggled twice since however with ninth of 12 and 10. Excuses can be found but stable jockey aboard Finoah who appeals more.
Forecasts
Finoah (7/2), Look Out Louis (4/1), With Caution (4/1), Fares Kodiac (13/2), Revich (7/1), Golden Force (8/1), Glorious Charmer (10/1), Excelled (12/1), Liberation Day (25/1)
A trappy handicap this but the vote goes to handicap debutant WITH CAUTION who won her first two before finishing second under a double penalty latest, there is no reason that turf should dampen her enthusiasm. Recent winners Glorious Charmer and Look Out Louis are almost certain to win more handicaps as the season progresses and the two are both genuine contenders again here.
- With Caution
- Glorious Charmer
- Look Out Louis
