Showed little in trio of maidens at two and didn't show a great deal in cheek pieces after gelding operation on comeback run. Blinkers now on for step up in trip again.
Didn't look as though he truly stayed 1m4f at Southwell on reappearance and stamina has to be taken on trust over further now.
Gradually stepped up in trip but hasn't really improved for it and modest form to date. In good hands and may be more to come at some time.
Slowly into stride three runs at up to 1m2f and has showed little to date but now handicapping on big step up in distance and could improve for it.
Has only beaten three rivals in a trip of maidens up to 1m4f to date. Now handicapping for good stable so could be more to come but needs to be.
Headed last stride when beaten at Wolverhampton over 1m2f in January and that is the closest any of these have come to a victory. Didn't improve for trying this trip at Wetherby and cheek pieces now go on.
Bets effort in five tries was a 4L fourth in 1m handicap here on penultimate run. Not bred to stay this far and now goes beyond 1m2f for the first time.
Very little to date including when tried over 1m4f last week but trainer often gets improvers at this sort of trip so may not be one to dismiss.
Was keen when trying 1m for the first time on latest and hard to believe that this 6f longer distance is what he wants. Tongue tie needs to help.
Has tried this trip and didn't run too badly when 9L third to a subsequent winner at Wetherby last month. That form reads well enough in a contest like this and has to be on the short list.
Big prices all starts and no better when stepped up to 1m2f in a handicap on latest. Needs to improve a good deal for this try at much longer trip.

Forecasts
Thomas Cubitt (3/1), Blowing Dixie (7/2), Well Funded (13/2), Swerved (15/2), Tabou Beach Boy (8/1), Victoriano (12/1), Spiritual Boy (12/1), Miss Green Dream (12/1), Agravain (14/1), Surrey Breeze (16/1), Langholm (28/1), Lucky Circle (28/1)
A new trip for the vast majority of these and some will improve for it but there is hardly any worthwhile on form on the table and making out a solid case for anything is not easy. WELL FUNDED gets a tentative vote as she showed a bit when third at this trip last time. With some big yards represented there will be some improvers and Thomas Cubitt and Blowing Dixie are the pair most likely to.
- Well Funded
- Thomas Cubitt
- Blowing Dixie
