C&D winner when taking advantage of a reduced mark/ease in grade on his penultimate start. Back on turf last time and couldn't quite cope with return to 0-100 company; remains well treated on his old form back in this 0-85 handicap.

Winner of this last year off a 4lb lower mark he's failed to win since but did run with credit last time at Doncaster over 5f helped by the strong pace he needs at this trip. Chances are there will be a fair pace on here; should make a bold bid to fo

Prominent runner but on a losing run that is starting to stack up now despite having plenty in his favour at Kempton last time. Finished a respectable third but had every chance and failed to convert; others present stronger cases.

Has work to do with Poyle Vinnie on his last run here (dual C&D winner) and has overall struggled to regain his best form of late. May not have been seen to best effect last time (raced wide); remains about his last winning mark, others appeal more.

Not disgraced on turf last time she may prefer a return to the AW and the course where she is a C&D winner. Certainly ran well when last seen here when finishing third (narrowly beaten by Poyle Vinnie); 3lb better off now; should go well again.

No surprise that he improved going sprinting for this yard winning twice once over C&D but found his winning run halted last time returned to turf. Yet to win on that surface and of more interest back on the AW off a still workable mark.

Kept really busy over the winter and this will already be his 12th run of the year; has run with credit a few times but has yet to win in 2019. Back on the AW after running on turf at Ascot last time; needs some help in the handicap.

Could go round here blindfold having won over C&D seven times but he's nowhere near the form of those wins at the moment with his last three starts being well below-par. 7lb below his last winning mark but would need others to run poorly.

Shaped quite nicely at Ascot last time (first run for six months) staying on well having had plenty of use made of him. That run should have put him right but he's only had one AW run and faces some real course specialists in this heat.

Forecasts

Zamjar (9/4), Miracle Works (4/1), Global Academy (4/1), Poyle Vinnie (7/1), Equimou (7/1), Something Lucky (8/1), Our Oystercatcher (12/1), Zac Brown (16/1), Dynamo Walt (25/1)

Verdict

Eight of the nine runners are C&D winners with last year’s winner Zamjar sure to be popular as he tries to get back on the winning trail for the first time since taking this last year off a 4lb lower mark. Poyle Vinnie appreciated the reduced mark/drop in grade when landing a C&D handicap with Equimou and Zac Brown behind a return to this grade will once again be in his favour and he’s expected to confirm the form with the two he beat last time. MIRACLE WORKS unsurprisingly made rapid strides forward having joined the Cowell yard and despite the rise in the weights he’ll appreciate a return to a synthetic surface and his bid to return to winning ways should be taken very seriously.
