Ran his best race over 1m4f maiden here last November straight after wind surgery looking as though he would be better for the run. That run process that he can act on this surface; more expected now he goes handicapping and of interest.

Acts well here gaining a deserved win over 1m4f (placed twice before) a win that started a quick-fire hat-trick the other wins coming at Brighton and Wolverhampton. Only a matter of time before the handicapper catches up with him but still respected.

Returns to the Flat after an absence having made his hurdles debut (pulled up). Won't have any trouble with this trip although she does look a little high in the weights now with no experience of the surface to assist her.

Is a winner here over 1f further off a 4lb lower mark; has shown some quirks in the past but couldn't be faulted last time when beating two rivals. Produced a performance to equal his best (had plenty to his advantage); off the same mark here.

Fibresand newcomer; lightly raced in the past year and ran poorly when last seen in a first-time hood. Only beaten one horse home in her last two starts; makes limited appeal against this field.

Course winner but one who has a losing run that is starting to mount running poorly for the most part prior to a recent wind op. Her win here came over 1m but she stays this trip and a little more; undergoes another headgear swap.

Needs to prove his effectiveness on Fibresand but did show improved form when winning at Lingfield (first-time tongue-tie) over 1m2f at the start of the year. Hasn't quite lived up to that form since but ran with credit last time; can't be ignored.

Course winner (1m4f) in March ending her long-standing maiden status (took advantage of a basement mark). Run some sound races since (forced a strong pace last time); work to do with Contingency Fee and Loose Chippings on past form.

Found one too good on both his starts on Fibresand (unfancied on the first of those starts) before starting favourite last time. Early exertions put paid to his chance close home over 1m4f; this trip may suit better, jockey booking notable.

Forecasts

Loose Chippings (4/5), Contingency Fee (7/2), Cold Harbour (7/1), Going Native (12/1), Love Rat (12/1), Billy Ruskin (25/1), Ceyhan (25/1), Sunshineandbubbles (33/1), Decima (50/1), Lyn's Secret (100/1)

Verdict

This looks to offer LOOSE CHIPPINGS a good chance to get off the mark having run two very sound races on Fibresand especially as Silvestre De Sousa takes over for a 3lb claimer with Ivan Furtado’s charge due to go up a further 2lb soon. Going Native can be relied on to run his race on this surface but he has work to do with two of these and the main danger looks to be the four-timer seeking Contingency Fee. He started his winning spree going here and even under a penalty has to be respected. Billy Ruskin is the most unexposed and it won’t surprise to see him run a big race with Cold Harbour also in the equation.
  1. Loose Chippings
  2. Contingency Fee
