Best run so far when, despite being sent off at 50-1, he finished a good second of 11 over 6f at Southwell recently. Shaped as though this drop in distance will suit, but this is a very different surface.
Landed a Lingfield handicap last month, but was not in the same form last time at Newcastle. Back down to that winning mark and seems to act on this surface.
No wins in 10 starts and first two runs over 6f for current trainer since leaving Charlie Hills' yard have been underwhelming. Down to career-low mark, is dropped in trip and wears blinkers for the first time, all of which makes him interesting.
Successful in a Lingfield handicap last summer and finds herself 8lb lower after some disappointing subsequent displays. Beat only one rival last time and needs to get back on track.
Best effort in four starts when, blinkered for the first time, she was a creditable third of nine over 7f at Kempton. Keen there, she takes a marked drop in trip off a 2lb lower mark.
No wins in seven starts, but ran a solid race to finish fourth of 13 on turf at Windsor. Acts on this surface and is not out of it off 1lb lower rating.
Good effort when third of 10 over C&D in February and probably found step up to 6f against her last time. Respected back down to her optimum distance.
Improved efforts over C&D and at Chelmsford on last two starts. Runs off the same mark and has sound each-way claims.
Has failed to beat a rival in two starts for current trainer since leaving Robert Cowell's yard. Down 3lb, but hard to make a case for at present. Tongue tied for the first time.
No wins in 14 starts and finished down the field at Chelmsford last time. Handicap mark is on the slide, but others make more appeal.
Stable companion of Spring Holly and Wye Bother. Cheekpieces worn at Lingfield last time are left off and she has plenty to prove.
Forecasts
Sharrabang (7/2), Sing Bertie (4/1), Miss Enigma (11/2), Sister of The Sign (13/2), Oxygenic (7/1), Brother Bentley (7/1), Superseded (9/1), North Korea (25/1), Wye Bother (33/1), Yfenni (50/1), Spring Holly (100/1)
Oxygenic is respected back down in trip and Superseded is interesting in first-time blinkers, but the percentage call is SING BERTIE, who has done enough on his last two starts to suggest his turn is just around the corner. Miss Enigma, Sister Of The Sign and Brother Bentley look the best of the rest.
- Sing Bertie
- Superseded
- Miss Enigma
