Won twice as a juvenile in Ireland for previous connections and ended season with very solid third in highly competitive contest at Naas over 6f. If in the same vein for new trainer he will make a bold bid.
C&D novice winner last June not beaten far at all next in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot before fourth next in Listed race at Newmarket. Suspect her best days still lie ahead and very much a leading candidate here.
Twice a winner at two including over C&D although lost his way a little later on. Fair reappearance on AW but flopped latest and on the balance best swerved here.
Won twice over 5f at two including over C&D. Well held next in a valuable Doncaster sales race but 6½f there may have stretched him. Can't be ruled out here on handicap debut.
Won last two starts at two and first time out this season at Thirsk (5f, good to firm). Up 4lb for narrow success there but is clearly progressing at a good rate so expectant of another bold bid.
5f Chepstow winner at two and she subsequently outran 24/1 odds when third in a French Listed race. First handicap today and not ruled out for yard in decent form.
Won two Chelmsford handicaps at two before being found out in above average Group Three at Newmarket. 4lb higher than more recent handicap win here and this looks a deeper contest.
Goodwood winner at two who also ran well here later in the campaign. Fly leapt the start at Thirsk on reappearance when eighth behind Leodis Dream so that effort should be forgotten. Not ruled out by any means.
Dual AW handicap winner last season but showed less positive evidence earlier in three turf starts. Others more persuasive with that in mind.
Firm ground Bath winner at two but well beaten afterwards and very ordinary effort latest on return. Hard to fancy here.
6f winner at Chester at two and also ran well there subsequently over 7f before struggling in always hot Redcar two-year-old trophy. Step back to 5f here is a question mark.
5½f winner at Bath last season but well held next off a 7lb higher mark and only gets 1lb back here. Form so far leaves him plenty to find.
Forecasts
Leodis Dream (15/8), Kurious (7/2), Good Luck Fox (8/1), Mutawaffer (9/1), Dancing Warrior (10/1), Reticent Angel (14/1), Recon Mission (16/1), Oberyn Martell (16/1), Michaels Choice (16/1), Prince of Rome (20/1), Pass The Gin (25/1), Mawde (50/1)
The unexposed filly KURIOUS gets the vote here for the always feared Henry Candy. Things didn't quite go to plan after her debut win last season but she is just the sort her trainer excels with. Leodis Dream won well first time out and looks sure to be on the premises once again. Recon Mission had smart form at two and also needs considering on his stable debut.
- Kurious
- Leodis Dream
- Recon Mission
