Well beaten over C&D on handicap debut when last seen. Dropped 3lb by the handicapper ahead of his return but may want a bit further than this and he has a bit to prove at present.
Struggled in a trio of starts as a juvenile, too keen on his latest outing at Wolverhampton in November. Interesting to see what the market makes of his on his return ahead of handicap debut here on return to turf.
Yet to win in six starts but his effort at Windsor last time on his turf debut was a step in the right direction, finishing fifth of 12 having race close to a strong pace. First-time hood may help him settle and open to improvement here.
Showed very little in a trio of AW efforts towards the end of last year. Workable mark for handicap debut back up in trip but others rate as more likely contenders.
Has largely struggled in her six starts and showed nothing on debut for this yard at Newcastle in October. Plenty to prove at present and wide draw not ideal.
Outran her odds in novice company at Newcastle in November but showed very little in a Deauville maiden last time out. May do better back at this trip on handicap debut.
Has shown better form on AW than turf and produced a career best when third at Newcastle last time, despite a slow start. Looks capable off this mark and rates as a leading contender back up in trip here.
A maiden after four starts, beaten a long way when last of 12 on handicap debut at Haydock last time. Step back up in trip looks like the right move and yard have been flying in recent weeks; one to note in the market.
Yet to win in nine starts but has gone well in her three runs at Newcastle over this trip, not beaten far having made the running there earlier in the month. Has probably improved since last seen on turf and not one to rule out here.
Well beaten in a trio of maidens and last of eight at Newcastle on his return. Plenty to prove at present and needs the first-time cheekpieces to have a dramatic effect.
Forecasts
Mushaageb (5/2), Kensington Art (3/1), Ransomed Dreams (5/1), Spiritual Boy (6/1), Lexikon (9/1), Alfred The Grey (11/1), Just Once (20/1), Juniors Fantasy (28/1), Early Edition (33/1), Fitzy (50/1)
ALFRED THE GREY looks well-handicapped on his return to turf and the extra furlong may help the gelding get his head back in front. Lexikon is a danger if she can replicate her AW form while Mushaageb looks like the main danger if the first-time headgear has the desired effect.
- Alfred The Grey
- Mushaageb
- Lexikon
