Likeable mare that wins her share, and turned in a career-best effort at Fontwell last time. Trip fine but the question is whether this ground may be a bit lively for her. If not, every chance of going in again.
Generally speaking, she runs her race more often that not and it was a gutsy effort that saw her home in front at Ludlow last time. This trip probably on the short side for her though, and she's up another 4lb, so more to do.
Easy winner at Kelso two starts ago and ran well in better company back there last time, not beaten far behind some improving horses. This looks a suitable test and as she's capable in the grade, is one to consider today.
Has some good novice hurdle form to her name and almost came good on handicap debut at Exeter in February, beaten on the nod. Likely improver and if handling this ground, looks one of the more interesting ones.
Won a big-field handicap at Navan last November, so hurly-burly of this contest won't bother her, but best form so far has come at further. Needs this to be well-run but not out of it if that's the case.
Seems to need good ground, which she will get here, quietly fancied when winning at Warwick in November and last run easily forgiven as she was out of her depth. Conditions fine here and may run her race.
Looking dangerously well handicapped now (2lb lower than last win) and these are her conditions, not disgraced at Fontwell last time out and as she's gone well fresh in the past, she could go well at a price here.
Not the biggest but she's capable on her day, tends to save her best for tight tracks these days and she is still looking a few pounds too high in the handicap. Others preferred.
Only had the ten starts, her one win coming on the Flat on heavy ground, so might find conditions here lively enough. Has scope for improvement but needs to put a poor run last time out behind her. Good jockey booking.
Very easy winner at Ludlow around this time last year and despite finishing last of six at Fontwell last time, caught the eye and may have needed the run after an absence. Interesting here, with conditions fine.
Capable enough and likes good ground, wins in her turn but at present looks in the grip of the handicapper and her wins have come in lesser grades. Plenty on her plate here.
Only knows the one way and that's to go hard from the front, sometimes lasts out but although she ran well at Newcastle last time out, this grade looks beyond her. Will try hard but likely to come up short.
Has won a couple of small races in the North in the past twelve months but not progressing and will be taken on for the lead here. Needs to get back on track and that looks an unlikely scenario today.
Clearly has some ability but seems reluctant to put her head in front, three times a beaten favourite over hurdles already. May improve but has to, and this is a tough contest to try and break your hurdles duck in.
Forecasts
Misty Bloom (5/1), Aimee De Sivola (5/1), Duhallow Gesture (6/1), Burn Baby Byrne (13/2), Martila (15/2), Rubytwo (10/1), Aasleagh Dawn (12/1), Miss Tynte (14/1), Miss Mash (16/1), Maebh (16/1), Kentford Heiress (25/1), Beyondtemptation (25/1), Duchess Ravenwaves (25/1), Birch Vale (28/1)
Beyondtemptation will ensure there's no hanging around and this will be run at a good pace. Aimee De Sivola has some very good bumper and novice form to her name, form that makes her look nicely treated today, and with the near guarantee of further improvement to come, she has to be high on anyone's shortlist. Miss Tynte travelled very well at Fontwell last time out before she got tired late on and is likely to be fitter here. She's worth a second look. At a likely good price though, it might be worth chancing KENTFORD HEIRESS, who is well handicapped and has her conditions here. She has won after a break and may well have been kept fresh with this in mind.
- Kentford Heiress
- Miss Tynte
- Aimee De Sivola
