Shaped quite nicely since moving into handicaps with her debut marking her down as one to be interested in (best not judged on her last effort; failed to get the run of the race). Dropped in trip/grade now for Fibresand debut; merits a second glance.

Possibly better than shown on her handicap debut (final run in Ireland); now start off for her new yard with plenty of new angles to cope with (trip/surface/headgear). Only cost €1,000 in November; shrewd yard; market watch advised this time.

Switches to AW for the first-time making her debut for a new yard under a capable apprentice (had her first double on Monday). Unsuited by the way the race developed on her handicap debut over 5f; should be better suited by this 6f.

Handicap debutant who has already had two attempts on Fibresand while he was gaining a mark earlier in the year. Form (so far) only looks modest but handicaps over further could show him in a better light than he's been shown in already.

Little solid form in three tries over various trips on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton going with little fluency last time over 5f. Makes his handicap/Fibresand debut but makes little appeal in a race where there could be a few improvers.

Deconsot18

9/2
Dual Tapeta (Wolverhampton) winner in modest handicaps over 6f who hasn't been disgraced off higher marks since. Ran respectably on his first try over C&D last time without really posing a winning threat; should be involved again.

Gave the impression on his last turf qualifying run that he would be one for low-grade handicaps. Now tries this sphere for the first time albeit on an unknown surface back up in trip (made his debut over 6f); worth noting in the market.

Blinkered (first-time) for Fibresand debut and those two facets combined to produce a much improved performance to win over 5f. Up 4lb for that win he's back to 6f (should have no problem with the trip); still looks relatively unexposed.

Not encountered this surface before (by a sire with a good record here) having not really met market expectations since going handicapping. Up in trip this time with the visor removed; possibility he could turn things around yet.

Age: 3|  Weight: 8-13| J: Nicola Currie| T: S Dixon| OR:  51| CD
3/1
C&D winner with plenty of experience on Fibresand (1-9) who showed his versatility when winning a match at Lingfield (6f). Ran well back on this surface last time only giving best to fast improving sort; off the same mark here, won't be far away.

Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: Faye McManoman(5)| T: C Smith| OR:  50
16/1
Handicap debutant who has so far run two very modest races over 5f here not really showing any great improvement/aptitude for Fibresand. Back up to 6f now but others present far more persuasive cases.

Forecasts

Champagne Mondays (3/1), Deconso (9/2), Maisie Moo (6/1), Gunnabedun (7/1), Termonator (17/2), Milldean Panther (9/1), Slainte (10/1), Miss Enigma (10/1), Superstition (14/1), Atwaar (16/1), Scarlet Skis (33/1), Sharrabang (50/1)

Verdict

Those with Fibresand form already present some reasonable form and they do have the advantage in that backers know they handle this unique surface. Champagne Mondays looks to have the beating of Deconso on their running here last time and he’s expected to go close back on his favoured surface. GUNNABEDUN is the other course winner and despite the fact that he has to step up in trip that extra furlong is expected to suit with progress to come. Plenty of the others can be given a chance if they take to Fibresand with Maisie Moo, Superstition and Slainte all worth noting if they move positively in the market.
