Progressive last summer, winning small-field 6f handicaps and Windsor and Newbury, and always thereabouts. Starts new season off a career-high mark, but may well have more to offer.
Won off 5lb lower at Lingfield in September, and very good second at Kempton in February. That run sandwiched by lesser efforts, but a big player if she brings her A-game.
Improved to win over 6f at Newmarket in the autumn, and belatedly proved that was no fluke with good efforts on her last two starts, Split Sweet And Dandy and Rose Berry here last time, and would have been closer but for being squeezed out late on.
Just 1lb higher than when winning over 5f here in September, but not in the same form since, and again ran well below form at Southwell last time. Return to this venue will suit, but she has a bit to prove at present,
Won a Lingfield novice for Jimmy Fox, but drew a blank in handicaps despite going close on occasion. Made a promising start for new yard when second to Puds here last time, with two of these behind, and of interest assuming she can build on that.
Forecasts
Goodnight Girl (13/8), Rose Berry (11/4), Sweet And Dandy (7/2), Emily Goldfinch (5/1), La Fortuna (12/1)
Three of these met over C&D recently, with Sweet And Dandy faring better than Emily Goldfinch and Rose Berry in what was a messy contest. That was the former's first start for Luke McJannet, and she should have more to offer, but the vote goes to GOODNIGHT GIRL, who rarely ran a bad race last year, and has the class to concede all weight all round.
