Dropped in the ratings and well treated in comparison to the pick of his Irish form; but two efforts for his current yard have left a bit to be desired. Wasn't beaten far last time, so possible this trip will suit. Others more convincing though.
Best form around this trip but still a maiden. Has bits and pieces of form that suggest he's not a lost cause just yet and the return to a mile should suit here; worth considering for a place in the frame.
Won a maiden on his second starts as a juvenile but its been a steady decline since. Well beaten at Chelmsford latest and plenty to prove on his debut run at this course.
Only 3lb higher than his last winning mark and ran well here on his penultimate start. The Polytrack not an issue but possible he needs to drop a few more pounds in the handicap before he can truly get competitive again.
Form has been modest since he returned from wind surgery last season and three starts for his current yard have been poor. Plenty to prove at present.
Not stood much racing over the years but perseverance paid off with a win last time out. The gelding ran on well under pressure at Lingfield last month but was all out at the finish. This step up to a mile may be a test too far.
The gelding's campaign has been punctuated with a couple of long absences over the last calendar year and he's rarely looked like one to follow. Still a maiden and has a bit to prove on his first attempt over a mile.
Won from a 2lb lower mark on his penultimate start and had excuses when hampered at Lingfield when last seen in November. The drop to a mile ought to suit but has tended to need a run after a break.
Dangerously well handicapped on the pick of his efforts but has lost his way over the last year. Back with John Butler after two poor runs for Paul Howling and has a lot to prove. (Makes only his third start over a mile.)
Third behind a progressive type latest (the winner has won again since) and should strip a lot fitter for the outing. Placed on his only other previous run over C&D and portents are positive. Worth considering in a weak race like this.
Reserves his best for Brighton and noted as being more consistent over 7f than he is over a mile; form took a nosedive at the end of last season and he's got a lot to find on that evidence on seasonal debut.
Impressed as a C&D winner in February but didn't beat much on the day. Ran reasonably well again here latest though and dangerous to underestimate from a lenient mark. Only his fifth outing in a handicap; shortlisted.

Purple Paddy (10/3), Beepeecee (5/1), Boxatricks (6/1), Militry Decoration (8/1), Waqt (8/1), Laqab (10/1), Screaming Gemini (10/1), Takeonefortheteam (12/1), The Eagle's Nest (12/1), Topology (16/1), Fair Power (40/1), Live Dangerously (50/1)
The lightly weighted PURPLE PADDY has adapted well to racing over this C&D and looks worthy of a small investment in race that has drawn together several inconsistent individuals. Boxatrick also has room to move from a low rating as he's also gone well here before now. Screaming Gemini is suited by this trip and is another to bear in mind if the betting market highlights his good side. Waqt is respected but needs to prove he handles racing over a mile.
