Verdict

The Ger Lyons-trained BASIC LAW would not have to improve much on his impressive second of 15 finishing 2½L behind the imposing Fozzy Stack-trained Wargrave on seasonal debut at Naas last month. A race that has already produced the third, National Guard to win. Pocotaligo for the Jessica Harrington yard could emerge as the biggest danger as the colt attempts to repay something from his 145,000gns price tag. Feather Step, Dee Sprinter and Vivax can battle for the minor honours.
