Fair sixth on debut at Chelmsford (6f) in January and purchased for 5,500 gns subsequently. Likely more needed if he is to break his maiden on this occasion.
Decent effort in finishing seventh in a heavy ground 1m maiden at Leopardstown in April last year. Absent since and interesting to see how he fares on stable debut having been gelded in the interim.
Unraced Battle Of Marengo gelding cost connections €85,000 at the sales as a yearling in 2017. Market support would be notable for a stable with a 23% strike-rate (3/13) in recent weeks.
Placed twice over C&D including when beaten 6¾L when finishing third last time out. Remains open to improvement but has a wide draw to overcome if he is to take this event.
Stepped up on debut effort when finishing fourth in a 5f novice event at Newcastle in January. Given a break since and is an interesting runner on his first attempt at this distance.
Unraced Scat Daddy colt bought for 800,000 gns at the breeze-up sales in April last year. Half-brother to useful sprinter Dali and is one for the shortlist despite being drawn wide on debut.
Finished well held in a 5f novice contest at Carlisle (good-to-firm) in May last year on his sole start at two. Gelded since but probably best watched at present.
Good second in a 7f novice event at Newbury (good-to-soft) in September last year and a decent effort when fifth in a big field over an extended 6f at the same venue subsequently. Sets the standard on form.
Unraced Sir Percy filly and a half-sister to a number of winners including connections useful filly Kasumi. Market support would be notable on racecourse debut.
Struggled in both starts so far most recently when beaten 16L in a 6f maiden at Kempton last month. Likely to be of more interest once eligible for handicaps.
Finished well beaten in a couple of Kempton novice events over 7f in January. Returning from a break here but probably best watched at present.
Unraced daughter of Bated Breath bought for 8,000 gns at the sales as a yearling. Half-sister to dual winning sprinter Restless Rose and worth a check in the market on debut.
Promising second beaten ½L in a 6f novice event at Newcastle on debut just over two weeks ago. Improvement likely and hails from a yard with a 33% strike-rate (3/9) in recent weeks.
Forecasts
Phosphor (5/6), Global Prospector (3/1), Wise Words (5/1), Moss Gill (16/1), Ghost Buy (22/1), Bannockburn (22/1), Empty Promises (33/1), Easy Money (33/1), Arvensis (33/1), Victory Rose (50/1), Lauberhorn Rocket (50/1), Frea (80/1), Doti (100/1)
PHOSPHOR looks the pick of these on form following a couple of good runs on turf last autumn and he can break his maiden in this 6f novice event. Global Prospector was an expensive breeze-up purchase last spring and he can claim second spot on debut ahead of Wise Words who performed well when finishing runner-up on her only start so far.
