Unraced Ifraaj colt out of a 1m winner who is related to several characters who acted on artificial surfaces. Highly respected yard is in good form but no surprise to see this fellow go on from here. Probably better over at least 1m before long.

Cost 130,000 gns and is a half-brother to a couple of winners on the AW. Yard relatively quiet just now and possible the colt will be seen to better effect over further.

Last of twelve on debut at Salisbury back in October and hard to recommend on that performance. Looks one who will use this as a stepping stone towards handicaps.

Quite well fancied last time out but din't make much progress under pressure and weakened tamely in the latter stages. Improvement needed and likely vulnerable to something less exposed. (Sets the standard on the BHA figures.)

Cost €180,000 and is a half-brother to five winners, including Tobann, a Group 3 winner. Yard quiet but capable of having one ready. Worth noting in the betting at least.

A Paco Boy gelding out of a half-sister to 1m2f Listed race winner Diploma, makes plenty of appeal on pedigree and has plenty of potential. Worth considering if supported in the betting.

Not shown much in either previous outing and looks likely to do better once moving on to contesting handicaps. Another who already needs to improve.

Well backed on debut but failed to justify the support... was unfancied last time and ran accordingly. Already needs to up his game.

Pulled hard on debut but faded quickly from 2f out. Cost 40,000 gns as a foal and still obviously early days. But needs to learn how to settle before she can be recommended.
Likely candidate to set a decent tempo and showed the benefit of a run when finishing third at Lingfield at the end of December. More required but from a small yard and possible she could slip under the radar; dangerous to underestimate.

Well beaten in both starts so far and needs a big step forward on what she's shown so far. Hard to fancy at present even though her yard traditionally does well at this time of year.

Posted a respectable effort over C&D in a handicap at the start of this month, which was a big step forward on all three of her previous runs. Has to be of interest back in a maiden from a low weight.

Forecasts

Physics (15/8), Invincible One (11/4), Eardley Road (6/1), Puzzle (8/1), Zaula (10/1), Creek Island (12/1), Turn To Rock (33/1), The Numismatist (33/1), Invincible Sea (50/1), Formally (50/1), Doti (50/1), What A Dazzler (100/1)

Verdict

A chance is taken that experience can count for ZAULA, who showed improvement in a handicap last time and must be of interest back in a race of this nature. Invincible One is probably better than he showed latest and is another with the benefit of previous runs to draw from; he is respected and sets a fair standard from a rating of 75 at present. Invincible Sea has also shown some zest in her races so far and would be dangerous to overlook. Of the others: Physics was the most expensive of these and merits a betting check, while Puzzle and Creek Island are a couple of newcomers worth keeping tabs on in the betting.
  1. Zaula
  2. Invincible One
  3. Invincible Sea
