Made all at Kempton but a slow start, which he has done on a few occasions, cost him off this mark at Lingfield. Should be involved again but needs to break better.
Consistent performances in five starts for Richard Fahey while costing himself by taking a keen hold. Eye-catching jockey booking on stable debut and perhaps a gelding operation and a drop in trip will bring more. Rates a contender.
Eight-race maiden who was not disgraced over the C&D last start. Place claims on that but yet to get to the level of his first two starts which came on heavy for David Evans. May be better waiting for a return to a testing surface.
Showed signs of ability on his second start over 6f here but has been well-below that in three starts since. Never got involved over this C&D following a gelding operation and hard to make a case for.
Career-best effort came when finishing fourth in a novice event over this C&D last month. Struggled on handicap debut at Newcastle however and others hold stronger claims.
Son of More Than Ready who cost $52,000 as a yearling but has made no impression in three starts and big improvement required on handicap debut.
Remains a maiden after 13 starts and proving inconsistent. Well drawn but yet to impress in three previous visits here and others preferred.
Five-race maiden but some improvement in two starts in October and caught the eye travelling well over this trip at Newcastle. May have to offer with time and interesting to see if there is any market support on return.
Signs of ability on final start for Robert Cowell but subsequently sold for just £600 and never got involved on recent stable debut. Hard to fancy.
Six-race maiden but has shown improved form over 6f the last twice. Has plenty of pace to cope with the drop in trip and although 1lb out of the handicap, holds place possibilities.
Represents an in-form stable but yet to show anything in six starts to date and remains best watched until signs of ability.
Forecasts
Griggy (2/1), Kingi Compton (5/2), The Defiant (5/1), Thegreyvtrain (12/1), Sing Bertie (14/1), Awake In Asia (16/1), Yfenni (20/1), Amliba (20/1), Talk Like This (20/1), Brother Bentley (66/1), Spring Holly (66/1)
Kingi Compton isn't reliable at the start, however for an in-form yard, looks likely to be involved again if handling the quick turnaround. Yfenni has plenty of speed and could go well at a price but preference is for GRIGGY who is taken to be suited by a fast run 5f and has shaped as though there is improvement still to come.
- Griggy
- Kingi Compton
- Yfenni
