Winner here over 7f at the start of this month but how has a 7lb higher mark and drop back in trip to contending with this time. The fact he's never won over the distance has to be a concern.

C&D winnr under Adam Kirby last month but well held off the revised mark since. Dropped 2lb and sports a visor for the first time but still has a bit to prove now.

Won over C&D a long while ago but has returned to form this season. Not so good latest and better judged on his efforts towards the end of 2018. Cannot be ruled out but needs to break much sharper than his did last time out.

Winner over an extended mile here as a youngster for William Haggas but seems to have lost his way since and was well beaten (on his debut run for his present yard last time out). Best watched.

C&D winner last September and mainly consistent since. rare below par run at Southwell last time needs to be put to one side but solid place claims despite his advancing years.

Has made a couple of successful raids over sprint distances at this course and Irish form also stands up to scrutiny; does look weighted to the limit just now though. Personal best now required.

Speedy on her day but has never won beyond the minimum trip. Two poor efforts since joining her current yard need to also be forgiven. (First-time hood needs to spark a big revival.)

Reasonably consistent since joining Roger Fell and not beaten far over C&D earlier this month. Well drawn here today though and solid place claims if able to capitalise.

Course and distance winner on his penultimate start but held off this mark last time; may have pulled too hard on that occasion and had little in reserve. Poor draw to overcome this time.

Forecasts

Inaam (11/4), Ahundrednotout (9/2), Kupa River (5/1), Ty Rock Brandy (6/1), Laubali (8/1), Burtonwood (10/1), Martineo (12/1), Monumental Man (12/1), Anonymous John (14/1)

Verdict

Doubts can be cast over the claims held by all of these but Irish raider AHUNDREDNOTOUT likes this course and arrives here with a solid enough recent profile to persuade another throw of the dice. Monumnental Man is another who is suited by this C&D and cannot be discounted, while Anonymous John also merits respect on the pick of his efforts - his latest start needs to be forgiven though.
  1. Ahundrednotout
  2. Monumental Man
  3. Anonymous John
