Back to a more appropriate trip and set to race from 2lb below her only previous winning mark; feasible chance on the pick of her form but has only ever won in selling grade and limitations already exposed.
Unexposed in handicaps but was well beaten in a weaker race than this last time. Comes here with a bit to prove.
Showed some promise on debut in October but has been regressive since. Finished a well-beaten last at Kempton latest and has an awful lot to prove. Others more appealing.
Improved for the drop back in trip and application of cheekpieces last time out; big chance of ridding himself of the maiden tag if he can take a step forward (has gone well over C&D before now a bonus too).
Little sign of improvement since returning from a gelding operation at the start of this season and plenty to prove just now. On the plus side, he's undergone wind surgery since his last start and has won from a 7lb higher mark in the past.
Has gone well over C&D before today but form has steadily been getting worse over the last few months. Big improvement required to stop the rot setting in and taking an irreversible hold.
12lb below her only previous winning mark, so feasible chance at the weights; also showed a bit more interest over 6f here last time. Still needs to improve over the additional furlong and remains to be seen how she'll respond to the cheekpieces.
Suited by 7f and fairly treated on the pick of his form. However, recent efforts have left a lot to be desired, so risks attached in his attempts to bounce back.
Debuts in a handicap on a reasonable mark and drawn well enough to gain a handy position. Still debatable as to whether 7f is his ideal trip, though. Improvement needed.
Very well treated on the pick of past form but has never won over this trip before now. Did finish ahead of Piper Bomb last time out but needs to post a career best over the distance despite being 15lb lower than his last winning mark.
Previous C&D winner but very prone to running a stinker every now and then. Won from this mark on turf in the summer and dangerous to underestimate even though he's a law unto himself these days. Sound run last time so not dismissed.
C&D winner from this mark in February and also won over the same trip on turf in the summer. Mixed form since see the gelding back on an attractive mark. Place claims but has a poor draw to overcome.
Forecasts
Piper Bomb (3/1), Taceec (7/2), Musbaq (5/1), Dodgy Bob (7/1), Malaysian Boleh (8/1), Mr Andros (10/1), Kellington Kitty (12/1), Harbour Patrol (20/1), Classy Cailin (25/1), Castlerea Tess (25/1), Shovel It On (50/1), Tidal Surge (100/1)
Several of these hold a fair record over C&D and support for the likes of Harbour Patrol and Malaysian Boleh, who are both set to race from featherweights, could be rewarding to follow for place money, while Tidal Surge and Dodgy Bob also have claims on the pick of their efforts and also merit a betting check. However, MUSBAQ posted a much improved display in the first time cheekpieces at Southwell just before Christmas and, given that he's gone well over C&D in the past, the gelding will be hard to master if he uses his latest start as a platform to jump forward here.
- Musbaq
- Harbour Patrol
- Malaysian Boleh
