Far from prolific but in good form last winter on AW albeit without winning. Recent 5L seventh of 12 after 173 day absence bodes well that he can again be competitive this winter so genuine claims now likely fitter.

C&D winner in October 2017 for Richard Hughes recently made stable debut when having his first race since March finishing a respectable fifth here. Should come on for that so claims here although handicap not obviously generous.

Best run to date in first start for almost a year when beaten a short head into third here over 7f. Slightly disappointing sixth since at Lingfield but reasons to forgive that so not ruled out here and blinkers may prove a positive.

Placed in four of her five AW starts to date and latest second over 1m½f at Wolverhampton more evidence that she should be winning sooner rather than later. Up 2lb but looks to still be improving so expect a bold bid once again.

Two-year-old Listed winner on a 16-race losing streak since and looked far from a convincing stayer over 7½f in France last time (first try beyond 6f) so further step up in trip a major worry.

Kempton maiden win not built on since with four unplaced efforts and was beaten 20L into last here last month so is now very hard to recommend.

Sound form for Ed Walker but three starts for John Butler saw little of that and was beaten 41L on stable debut at Southwell latest. Very risky proposition at present.

2016 C&D winner does much of his racing over further these days. Good efforts the last twice at Lingfield over 1m2f finishing fourth and third so arrives in good order and can go close if still as effective at 1m.

Maiden but can argue her two best runs come here over C&D with a second and third last time out so far. Gets 1lb back so still very much competitive and hard to see her being far away when it matters.

Only beaten three rivals in eight starts this year and none in last three including two at this course. Easy to pass over now.

½L second at Kempton (1m) latest at 16/1 clearly his best effort to date in four starts. First handicap here and would have to suspect handicapper has been pretty lenient so genuine claims especially with further improvement possible.

Unplaced in 10 career starts. Well beaten 12th of 14 on return from three month break at Kempton latest and even with improvement fitness wise he's hard to be confident in here.

Forecasts

Classic Charm (9/4), Pacific Salt (4/1), Bubbly (5/1), Steal The Scene (6/1), Philamundo (9/1), Beepeecee (10/1), Mochalov (12/1), Rippling Waters (16/1), King Of Rooks (25/1), Elusif (25/1), Enzo (50/1), Echo Brava (66/1)

Verdict

BUBBLY has been knocking at the door and Charlie Fellowes filly can go one better than her excellent second at Wolverhampton last time out. There are plenty of others with solid claims including Steal The Scene whose reappearance was very encouraging for the coming months. Unexposed Mochalov is very interesting in his first handicap after a good second last time out.
  1. Bubbly
  2. Steal The Scene
  3. Mochalov
