Slight step forward when third at Taunton last time but that needs improving on and the form of that race has been let down since.
Won a Bumper in 2017 at Uttoxeter and has shown some ability since switch to hurdling and the fact he has had a wind operation since last seen could be of interest.
Tailed off in a Bumper on only start for previous start in April 2017 and hard to fancy unless market suggests otherwise.
Smart Bumper performer last season and won a strong race at Newbury in March. Held in some regard by connections and his hurdling debut today is awaited with eager anticipation.
Won a Point-to-point and then not disgraced in a Bumper here last month. Now goes hurdling and while a longer trip wouldn't go amiss, he could outrun his odds.
Sent off at 200/1 on all three starts and not surprisingly has shown little and little better is expected today.
Landed a Bumper at Newbury in November and was strong in the market on his hurdling debut at that track but let down by his jumping on that occasion. Clearly capable of better and not one to give up on.
Has shown a little bit of ability in two runs over hurdles but will probably do better when handicapping after this.
Hurdling debut after three runs in bumpers. Showed some ability on penultimate start but a bit to prove now after disappointing effort at Uttoxeter.
First foal of the smart hurdler Gaspara and showed plenty of promise when runner-up on good ground Worcester Bumper in October. Extra distance should help on hurdling debut and one for the short list.
Narrowly landed a small field Bumper at Towcester in the spring. Mid division on hurdling debut here last month and plenty more needed in order to figure here.
Ran well for a long way on English debut at Sandown last month and winners have already come from that race. This looks weaker and seems sure to play a leading role.
Fifth foal, half-brother to a pair of hurdling winners. Ran green on Bumper debut in November and should have learned plenty from that ahead of debut over timber today.
Ran well in a pair of bumpers last term and shaped with promise when not knocked about on hurdling debut here. Can do better and holds place prospects.
Two soft ground Point-to-point wins in Ireland but showed little on hurdling debut recently and not hard to look elsewhere.
Hasn't shown enough in a trio of bumpers to be of interest on hurdling debut today unless the market suggests otherwise.
Decent Bumper performer in his youth but was then off the track for over 2 years prior to recent hurdling debut. Entitled to come on for that but does need to take a step forward.
No promise in two Bumper runs and needs huge improvement on this hurdling debut to be of any interest here.
Forecasts
Caribert (1/1), Greaneteen (3/1), Hey Bud (10/1), Glen Vine (10/1), Drunken Pirate (10/1), Article Fifty (10/1), Pride Of Lecale (12/1), Helford River (25/1), Caspers Court (33/1), La Cavsa Nostra (50/1), Granitic (66/1), Espalion (66/1), Fortescue (66/1), Across The Park (100/1), Officernisi (100/1), Call Me Westie (100/1), Little Robin (150/1), Corsecombe (200/1)
GREANETEEN comes from a Sandown race last month that is already working out well and with improvement virtually guaranteed, he looks the safest option. Caribert is an interesting recruit to hurdling and commands plenty of respect with Article Fifty likely to do better on the back of a breathing operation.
- Greaneteen
- Caribert
- Article Fifty
