C&D win in May started a great run as he won three of four starts. Out of luck since but clear signs of a revival of late with third second placed finishes, the most recent on this mark so chances obvious back on this surface.
Dual C&D winner in March campaigned on turf since with limited success. Not disgraced in three most recent starts since a summer absence and returns here now on last winning mark so expecting a bold showing.
Dual AW winner seemed to handle this surface in two starts earlier this year. Only beat one rival since summer break in two starts (one turf, one AW) however so enthusiasm limited at this point.
Fantastic 2017 season on turf, winning six times. Stop start 2018 seen her race just four times. Fair effort when last seen in September but another absence to overcome and yet to place in four AW starts.
Improved for switch to AW with second and third placed finishes the last twice at Wolverhampton. Also second in lone start on this surface back in April so looks sure to go well here.
Dual AW scorer yet to race on fibresand however. Not hit the heights in two starts since switching to this yard but blinkers added here and potential if they can spark a revival.
Speedy sort got off the mark at Newcastle in September but could only finish eighth there more recently on first handicap try despite leading 1f out. Gets 2lb back but vulnerable to stronger finishers.
Arguably stronger over 6f (six of seven wins over distance) but ran well in a rare try over this trip in penultimate start at Newcastle. Midfield since at Lingfield however and overall others appeal more.
C&D winner in January also won on turf at Catterick in August. Somewhat in and out in six starts since but 3lb below last win here and won this race a year ago.
C&D maiden winner in lone fibresand start was largely disappointing subsequently in handicaps. Returns for first start since July and interesting to see how he fares back on this surface although absence obviously a worry.
Just the three starts this year and recent reappearance after a layoff saw him last of 11 on stable debut at Wolverhampton. Visor now tried but hard to be confident overall.
One from 13 this year, that success on turf at Brighton. Last three starts not compelling including switch to AW latest at Lingfield and would need a much improved effort here.
C&D winner but that way back in 2013. 18 months passed by since last success and placed twice in 10 2018 races. Two ninths at Newcastle since switching to this yard give him a lot to find.
Two starts here early in the year yielded one win and one second. Just the three turf runs in the summer and off since. Interesting now back on the fibresand but a few doubts after the layoff.
Forecasts
Tan (13/8), Samovar (7/1), Bellevarde (15/2), Kodi Beach (11/1), My Name Is Rio (12/1), Dotted Swiss (12/1), Eternal Sun (16/1), Warrior's Valley (16/1), Always Amazing (16/1), Amazing Grazing (20/1), Pearl Acclaim (20/1), Indian Pursuit (25/1), Ebitda (33/1), Entertaining Ben (33/1)
TAN has been knocking on the door lately and he won the last time he tackled this surface so he has very obvious claims to get back to winning ways. Also running well since returning to AW surfaces is Bellevarde and she too comes here on the back of two placed efforts. Warrior's Valley hasn't run since the summer but his best form seems to have come here so he can't be ignored.
- Tan
- Bellevarde
- Warrior's Valley
