Gained a second career success when winning a competitive event over C&D last time out and clearly going the right way at present. Shouldn't be far away with just a 3lb rise to cope with.
Four wins from 18 starts at this course and he was a winner from a 6lb higher mark earlier in the year. Not disgraced last time out and a return to this trip should suit.
In good form at the start of the summer but well beaten at Wolverhampton last time and seemingly hasn't enjoyed any of his previous three visits to the course. Starts out for new yard.
Still a maiden after 14 starts. A couple of his better efforts came here last winter but he's struggled throughout the summer including here last time out and opposable at present.
Generally a consistent sort but put in a rare bad day at the office last time out at Wolverhampton. Probably needs to come down in the handicap to be considered for win purposes and didn't beat a rival home on only other start here back in March.
Still a maiden after 11 starts and well beaten on all four AW outings, including course debut here last time. His habit of starting slowly not ideal around here and wide draw no help either.
Ended a long losing run over C&D here last month but failed to build on that at Chelmsford subsequently. Very inconsistent and opposable off this mark at present.
Still a maiden after 16 starts and not guaranteed to appreciate the switch to Fibresand for course debut having been well beaten last time out at Newcastle.
C&D winner and nine time course winner in total who finds himself on a workable mark and present and has been running well in defeat on his last couple of starts. Possibly a little better over 6f than this trip these days but can't be dismissed.
Has finished tailed off on all three of his career starts and hard to know why he's being dropped back to 5f given his pedigree. Wears first-time blinkers.
On a long losing run that's lasted more than two years and yet to win in 11 starts at this course; others preferred.
Virtually tailed off on each of her three starts, too keen last time at Nottingham. Makes AW/handicap debut and her sire has a respectable record on this surface but hard to fancy on the evidence available to date.
Shown nothing in five starts to date and he's a long way out of the handicap here. Often slowly away.
Soundly beaten on each of his nine starts, including one course outing and hard to make any sort of case for on the back of an absence.
Forecasts
Honey Gg (9/4), Archimedes (9/2), Decision Maker (11/2), Divine Call (15/2), Carlovian (9/1), Astraea (16/1), Excel Mate (16/1), Sir Geoffrey (16/1), Cardaw Lily (22/1), Foreign Legion (33/1), Waneen (33/1), Mountain Of Stars (50/1), Ritas Legacy (50/1), Robbian (50/1)
Not a particularly strong event for the grade and it might be worth taking a chance on ARCHIMEDES who was a winner from a higher mark earlier in the year. Honey Gg is a filly improving and isn't taken on likely while nine-time course winner Sir Geoffrey can't be entirely ruled out after a better effort last time.
- Archimedes
- Sir Geoffrey
- Honey Gg
