Not the most consistent but back in better form last time at Nottingham. Unexposed on AW, and races here from 4lb lower, so reasons for optimism for his supporters.

4lb lower than when last seen on AW in February, when going close at Chelmsford. Also went close when last seen on turf at Brighton and aside from a poor draw, he has a fair bit going for him.

Won 3-4 at one stage earlier in the year and improved again in defeat since then. Slight concern than when tried on Tapeta at Newcastle, his form was not red hot, while he is not well drawn here, but otherwise he is entitled to plenty of respect.

Goes best at Newcastle (also Tapeta) and is 1lb higher than when scoring there last winter. Each-way claims.

Has won a C&D claimer and is now 3lb lower than when winning for the last time at Lingfield a year ago. Respectable effort back here last time and not ruled out if he can make the most of an inside draw.

Dual C&D winner who is 2lb higher than her best winning mark from Chelmsford in March. Yet to win after a break, but no reason why she can't get competitive.

11lb higher than when scoring over C&D in August, but has since won at Bath from just 2lb lower. Should again be very competitive and has each-way claims at the very least.

Has won on Tapeta at Newcastle (5f) and went close on his only previous try here. Could be given a decent chance from this mark if able to produce any of his first three runs after wind surgery, but off the boil the last twice and a bit to prove.

Scored here (6f) on debut last year when with Robert Cowell. Has left him since his last run, changing hands for 7,000gns. Will need to be right back to his best to win from this mark on stable debut.

Dual Polytrack winner, including last time at Chelmsford (5f). Up 5lb for that, but entitled to enter calculations on his first try on Tapeta.

7/1
C&D winner, who is up 7lb for that success last time out (in first-time tongue-tie). Up in grade today, but stable in decent form and it would be no surprise to see him make further progress.

Forecasts

Shamshon (3/1), Bossipop (11/2), It's All A Joke (7/1), Hollander (7/1), Suwaan (15/2), Lord Of The Glen (8/1), Tan (12/1), Three Little Birds (14/1), Always Amazing (16/1), Midnightly (20/1), Come On Dave (20/1)

Verdict

An open-looking handicap where Bossipop looks set to go well under top weight, but it is the runner at the foot of the racecard, HOLLANDER, who gets the vote. William Muir's four-year-old took a decent step back in the right direction when winning over C&D last time with a bit in hand, and there may be more to come. Three Little Birds, It's All A Joke, Shamshon, Lord Of The Glen and Suwaan are others who could make their presence felt if things drop right.
  1. Hollander
  2. Bossipop
  3. It's All A Joke
