Winner of both of his starts to date including by 2L in a C&D novice hurdle on good-to-soft ground last month. One for the shortlist despite carrying a penalty.
Point-to-point winner on soft ground in April. Interesting to see how he fares with a tongue tie applied for the first time on Rules debut.
Placed in a novice hurdle at Market Rasen (good-to-soft) in March. Pulled up subsequently and had wind surgery since his most recent start. Debuting for a new yard.
Well held last of nine in a heavy ground Market Rasen bumper in April. Had wind surgery since but probably best watched on hurdling bow.
Disappointing favourite when finishing 17L seventh of eight in a good-to-soft ground Bangor bumper on debut in April. Interesting to see how he fares on hurdling debut.
Won and placed on the Flat including over 1m4f at Kempton last month. Market support would be notable on hurdling debut.
Placed in a good ground Tramore bumper in August. Well beaten at Downpatrick subsequently and debuting for a new stable on his first outing over hurdles.
Failed to finish on his first two point-to-point starts but made no mistake when winning by 4L on yielding-to-soft going in April. Worth a check in the market on Rules debut.
Well beaten in a bumper on Rules debut and unseated at an early stage on hurdling debut subsequently. Others hold stronger claims.
Debuting for this yard when finishing runner-up in a 1m2f Flat handicap at Redcar (soft) recently. Interesting runner on his return to hurdling.
Useful performer on the Flat in 2017 but well beaten on debut for this yard at Chelmsford in June and probably best watched on his first start over jumps.
Placed in three point-to-points in the spring. Wears a hood for the first time and probably best watched on hurdling debut.
Placed in a couple of point-to-points earlier this year. Beaten 25L in that sphere last time out however and others make more appeal on debut under Rules.
Point-to-point winner in spring 2017. Off for well over a year prior to finishing 31L fourth on debut for this yard recently and others make hold more obvious claims.
Forecasts
Tokay Dokey (1/1), Speed Company (9/2), Peeping Tom (7/1), Chez Hans (10/1), Arctic Road (16/1), I'm Running Late (20/1), Mid Day Gun (20/1), Lady Of Derrygally (20/1), Boy Named Sioux (25/1), Presenting Rio (25/1), Star of Rory (25/1), Tigeralley (33/1), Raise Your Shades (33/1), Burning Bright (66/1)
TOKAY DOKEY looks capable of defying a penalty to maintain his unbeaten record in this novice hurdle. The selection impressed in winning here last time out and can see of his rivals here with Peeping Tom, a point-to-point winner int eh spring taken to finish runner-up ahead of Speed Company who ran well on the Flat recently and is making his first appearance over hurdles.
- Tokay Dokey
- Peeping Tom
- Speed Company
