Evergreen campaigner who was not at his best at Nottingham last time, but had previously scored at Southwell, at which he has a fine record. Down 4lb since last run, but is clearly better on the AW.
Still a maiden after 11 runs, but went very close when a short head second over 1m4f at Beverley last month. Up 3lb and has stamina to prove, but warrants respect.
Successful on last two starts at this venue, latterly over this distance when proving her stamina. Up 3lb, but has plenty going for her.
Fair effort to chase home a clear-cut winner on the Newcastle AW recently. Reverts to turf off 1lb lower with stamina to prove.
Underwhelming efforts since returning from an absence of 21 months. Makes little appeal despite his career-low rating.
Scored over 1m4f at this venue, but was not so effective on the AW at Newcastle last time. Takes a big leap in distance and pedigree provides mixed messages.
Successful over 1m6f at Redcar in June and ran well when just touched off over C&D next time. Latest run at this venue on soft going was disappointing so any drying out of the ground would be a plus.
Series of creditable efforts, including three at this venue, without getting his head in front. On a fair mark and a threat to all if staying the trip on his first attempt at 2m
Placed only once in seven starts, six of them on turf. Already plunging down the handicap, but needs to up his game.
Scored over 1m6f at Carlisle when trained by Iain Jardine, but two runs for current stable have been disappointing. Plenty to prove for now.
Veteran whose last win was achieved in August, 2013. Beaten miles when last seen at Wetherby in June and looks a light of former days. Tongue tied for the first time.
Best run in five outings came when second of nine on the AW at Chelmsford last time. First attempt at 2m that day so this stamina test should hold no terrors. Chance off the same mark.
Out of the frame and well beaten in all five starts, one of them in handicap company. Plenty of work to do stepped up in distance off 7lb lower mark.

Helioblu Bareliere (15/8), Betancourt (13/2), Flower Power (15/2), Donnachies Girl (8/1), Alexis Carrington (9/1), Richard Strauss (10/1), Valkenburg (10/1), Das Kapital (14/1), Only Orsenfoolsies (14/1), Elite Icon (16/1), Point Of Honour (16/1), Dew Pond (20/1), Serenity Now (50/1), Strikemaster (100/1)
Ordinary fare, but dual course scorer Flower Power has to enter calculations and Helioblu Bareliere will pose a threat if staying this trip. Alexis Carrington has prospects further down the weights, but the selection is RICHARD STRAUSS, who has good form to his credit at this venue and looks worth a try at this longer trip. Betancourt will be a factor if the ground dries out.
- Richard Strauss
- Flower Power
- Helioblu Bareliere
