€16,000 yearling by Dark Angel out of a dam placed from 9f to 1m6f. Distant last of nine on debut and although the longer trip will help her, it would be a surprise if it made a significant enough difference.

Looked in need of this sort of trip last time and is probably a more likely type for a nursery before too long.
Nicely bred daughter of Iffraaj who cost 26,000 gns as a foal rising to 250,000 gns as a yearling. Dropped away quickly after racing freely on debut last week and needs to step up considerably on that effort.

40,000 gns Ravens Pass filly out of a moderate dam. Plenty of stamina on the dam's side and may want further than this.

Strong contender judged on her first two runs if prepared to dismiss last effort when she set a steady pace. This is her easiest task to date and she is proven on soft. Trainer 3-7 with juveniles here over past five seasons.

Dandy Man half-sister to 7f-1m winner Barford who handled cut in the ground. Noted making late gains on Wolverhampton debut and normal improvement would give her place claims at least.

Beaten a fair way by the useful Mot Juste last time, however the effort showed she had learnt from her debut. Her staying pedigree casts a doubt the slightly shorter trip on this tighter track will help her progress further.

£2,500 Epaulette newcomer out of a dam who was a 1m AW winner and traces back to a good family. Stable jockey prefers Cuzzoni.
Swiss Spirit filly who fetched €15,000 as a yearling and is closely related to a couple of winners over 6f. Little confidence in the market on debut when finishing last of 14.
Requinto half-sister to a moderate 1m4f winner. Stable having a good year, but a five-year record of 1-66 with this age group suggests she is one for next season.

Forecasts

Ice Gala (4/11), Country Star (8/1), Cuzzoni (9/1), Arletta Star (10/1), Lincoln Tale (11/1), Liam's Lass (20/1), Pandora Star (20/1), Romany Rose (33/1), Piste de Reflexion (40/1), Angel Cakes (66/1)

Verdict

ICE GALA will be a warm order for this with her initial efforts behind Pattern class performers standing out in this grade. Her response was disappointing last time and that may be the reason her sights have been aimed this low. She may not be one to take prohibitive odds about. Liam's Lass may be a viable each-way alternative given a pedigree that lends itself to this trip on a soft surface and the promise of her debut. Arletta Star and Lincoln Tale have shown signs of promise but both will face easier tasks when moving into nurseries.
  1. Ice Gala

  3. Arletta Star
