Back from an eight month break (ex-William Haggas) when beaten just under 4L (third) by a subsequent winner at Nottingham (1m+ good) in August; 0-1 on the AW (Chelmsford).
Didn't appear entirely straightforward (cheekpieces now applied), but stayed on to finish just over 2L second to La Sioux (33/1) at Nottingham (1m+ good to firm) last month; sole previous win on Polytrack (Kempton, 6f).
Difficult to win with (2-48), and a regular headgear wearer - fitted with blinkers and eye-shields here; 2lb lower than when finishing a staying on 2L fourth to Ledham at Kempton (1m) last week.
AW maiden (0-5), and yet to score anywhere beyond 6f; 1lb lower than when finishing 4¾L third to Exchequer at Kempton (7f) latest.
Unexposed in handicap company, and with excuses latest (keen and met trouble); possible that she can build upon her 7½f Ffos Las maiden win, but needs to prove herself on the surface and is drawn wide in stall ten.
Ten-race maiden; unexposed on synthetics, and ran a joint-career best latest (back from a break) when beaten a neck by Pickett's Charge (1m, Chelmsford); shortlisted.
Poor in a couple of UK starts for Henry Candy having won on soft ground in France (7f) as a juvenile; new stable, new surface, hood applied and first start since wind surgery.
Shown improvement since wind surgery (and the switch to handicapping); asserted close home when seeing off Golden Iris by 1L at Kempton (1m); raised 5lb, but likely to be firmly in the mix.
C&D winner from a 1lb lower mark in April, but hasn't proved to be the most consistent of fillies since; tailed-off last of six at Ffos Las (1m, good) latest, but far better than that form when fully on song.
Ten-race maiden; 7L runner-up in a Compiegne maiden in June, but looks to be finding life fairly tough in handicap company; easing slightly in the weights, but not enough just yet.
Three-time turf winner for Brian Ellison, but win-less since June 2015 (when turf was the racing surface at Newcastle); theoretically should be fairly competitive from a reduced handicap mark, but equally looks far from an obvious solution.

Goodwood Showman (9/4), Robin Weathers (4/1), Arctic Sea (5/1), The Warrior (11/2), Agar's Plough (6/1), Al Reeh (7/1), Chess Move (12/1), Launceston Place (14/1), Accomplice (20/1), Gerry The Glover (25/1), Hellovaqueen (50/1), Collate (80/1)
Both Arctic Sea and Goodwood Showman arrive on the back of recent victories, and are perfectly capable of continuing to make their mark from 2lb and 5lb higher marks respectively, but the Paul Cole-trained front-runner has been done no favours whatsoever by the draw. Agar's Plough is a ten-race maiden who produced a joint-career best effort at Chelmsford recently (form solid), so could have a positive role to play. However, in an open race a chance is taken on the top-weight ROBIN WEATHERS who returned from an eight month absence to finish a respectable third to subsequent winner Stringybark Creek on debut for Eve Johnson-Houghton at Nottingham in August.
- Robin Weathers
- Agar's Plough
- Arctic Sea
