Showed nice improvement first to second start and although not building on that on turf, still showed ability and probably wasn't suited by the soft ground. Should be involved on handicap debut.
Ran well at Nottingham on handicap debut but well below that at Carlisle last time. Proving inconsistent and others preferred.
Settled better when breaking through on his fifth start and second since being gelded. Worth another try at this extra furlong and there should be plenty more to come.
Showed promise when going close on first two starts at Beverley but would still need to improve to win on handicap debut and was disappointing over the C&D most recently.
Possible that the extra furlong didn't suit last time but isn't really progressing at this early stage. Needs to find extra for first-time cheekpieces on handicap debut.
Ran on well when showing improvement on her third start and she should have more to offer over this trip. Looks a leading contender on handicap debut.
Made a good impression when winning on debut but has gone backwards in three starts since and was well beaten at Catterick last time.
Disappointed on turf the last twice including on handicap debut but would be well handicapped if returning to the previous form of his two placings on this surface.
Stepped up considerably on previous form when a staying on third at Wolverhampton on handicap debut and with further progress can be involved again.
Forecasts
Power Link (9/4), Suppressor (11/4), Mr Diamond (5/1), Dancing Rave (8/1), Cognac Blue (17/2), Under Curfew (12/1), Pearl Of Qatar (20/1), The Grey Zebedee (20/1), Mister Dependable (28/1)
Stablemates Mr Diamond and Cognac Blue look to be going the right way from their respective last starts and can be competitive again. That can't be said of The Grey Zebedee, however he is worth another chance on this surface which can bring the best out of him. Likewise Suppressor can put his run on turf behind him on his first try here. DANCING RAVE has shown plenty in three starts on turf and providing she takes to this surface has a lot more to offer over this distance.
- Dancing Rave
- The Grey Zebedee
- Mr Diamond
