Running to a fair level of form with two wins and a second in last four starts with only disappointment coming on a softer surface. Denied a clear run last time and likely a major player again.
Has dropped to a fair mark on turf but well beaten albeit in a better race at Doncaster. Stable struggling for winners and others preferred.
Won two in a row this summer but then a bit below that in three runs since. Down another 1lb but others potentially better handicapped.
C&D winner last year who ran a blinder when fourth in the Group 3 Palace House Stakes on seasonal reappearance. Largely disappointing since but now dropping in grade and on an attractive mark.
Won two in a row at Bath and not disgraced in Listed company at Naples. More required now in handicap company and withdrawn after getting unruly in the stalls at Newmarket.
Has struggled twice in better company since C&D win off just 2lb lower. Could find this more suitable but on balance has a bit to find.
Ended last year winning five from six but after promising reappearance has been well beaten last twice and best watched for now.
Narrow second to Kodiac Express over this C&D in July but below that in two starts since. Capable if bouncing back off falling mark but others more convincing.
Can get restless in the stalls and needs a fast pace to be seen at his very best. In decent form with a win over this C&D and in a better race when third last time. Likely to be involved again.
Forecasts
War Whisper (15/8), Equimou (2/1), Queen Of Desire (13/2), Wiff Waff (7/1), Kodiac Express (9/1), Arzaak (12/1), Grandfather Tom (18/1), Orient Class (33/1), Ebitda (50/1)
Equimou down in grade is on a very good mark but the concern is that he emptied quickly once headed at Lingfield and remains a touch frustrating. Wiff Waff is going well and providing he doesn't mess the start should be competitive again but WAR WHISPER looks a solid chance after continuing a good run of form with an excellent run in defeat at Musselburgh.
- War Whisper
- Wiff Waff
- Equimou
