Standing dish at Catterick with four C&D wins on his CV; has struggled to recapture his summer 2017 form this campaign (albeit not that wide of the mark); potentially interesting dropping down into a Class 6.
Has failed to win since May 2016 (6f Ripon), but this sharp track is a suitable match - beaten a neck and a nose on his last visit here in May (off 5lb higher); has C&D previous with Meshardal from July 2017.
Followed up an earlier Beverley win, when scoring again (off 3lb lower) on the Westwood (5f) last month; stays 6f, so granted quick ground, should once more be on the premises given that productive spell of form.
1lb lower than when finishing 1½L third to Mr Strutter (6f, good) on stable debut at Thirsk last month (Peachey Carnehan second); almost certain to help to blaze the early trail despite his mid-pack draw in stall eight.
Attractively handicapped, but in the main is struggling to make the most of his reduced mark (rated as high as 83 in August 2016); cheekpieces have pepped him up a fraction, but he does need to break on terms from his high draw.
Rock solid at this track (four-time C&D winner); handles most conditions and is more than capable from his current handicap mark; definite short-list material from the inside berth in stall one (front-runner).
Runner-up on her last two starts (both 5f), but hasn't won since her juvenile days with Tom Dascombe (1 from 16); has a chance, but won't have it all her own way up front with the likes of C&D specialist Indian Pursuit drawn on her inner.
Hit the bar on numerous occasions on turf since winning over 6f on Tapeta at Wolverhampton in April; not so pleasing more latterly and that's probably a sign that he could do with some assistance from the assessor.
Slipped in the weights, and managed to profit at Thirsk in July (6f, good to firm) on his third start since wind surgery; patchy profile since, but worth keeping an eye on with the AW (Newcastle) in mind for future.
Easy to back (20/1), and posted a low-key showing after a tardy start at Carlisle last week (6f, soft); his trainer is probably still slowly getting to grips with this ten-race maiden (ex Eve-Johnston Houghton-trained).
Winner of four races in 2017 (5f-7f), and knocking at the door lately with a couple of placed efforts at Thirsk (6f); raised 2lb since his ½L second to Mr Strutter (Munfallet third) latest.

Miss Dd (4/1), Munfallet (5/1), Indian Pursuit (11/2), Arnold (7/1), Straightothepoint (8/1), Meshardal (8/1), Revenge (10/1), Peachey Carnehan (12/1), Burtonwood (16/1), Dories Delight (20/1), Laughton (22/1), Scenery (25/1)
An open looking sprint in which the form horses are undoubtedly Arnold (Ann Duffield) and Peachey Carnehan (Michael Mullineaux), but as Catterick is very much known as the archetypal 'horses for courses' venue, there's plenty of value to be sought with the respective four-time C&D scorers Meshardal and INDIAN PURSUIT. The former is fully capable of blowing away these lesser rivals (Class 6) if recapturing his summer 2017 form which yielded C&D figures of 2,1,1 (May to July), but the latter is fancied to exploit his inside berth in stall number one and make all of the running for a repeat of his 2017 race success.

- Straightothepoint
