Casamento colt who cost 43,000gns as a yearling. Failed to land a blow when well beaten on debut at Sandown and needs to show big improvement.

Cost 120,000 gns as a yearling and is a Sea The Stars half-brother to useful winners Dress Rehearsal, Gold Sovereign and Fairy of The Night. Signs of talent on both starts, but looks a work in progress.

Colt by by Frankel and a half-brother to two winners both at Listed level at 1m-1m3f. Pleasing debut when runner-up to an easy winner at Newbury and should show the benefit of that outing.

Son of Whipper who cost €29,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to two winners at 7f/1m. Probably best watched on debut.

Intello colt who is a half-brother to three winners, including Group 3 scorer Marenko. Represents top trainer/jockey combination, but may need this debut experience.

50/1
Zoffany colt who cost €40,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to a couple of winners. Stable's juveniles generally need their debut runs.

Some promise on debut at Ascot, but was biting off more than he could chew behind the exciting Too Darn Hot in a Sandown maiden. Much less to do this time.

A Maxios half-brother to moderate maiden Brinicle, he cost €49,000 as a yearling. Fluffed the start when last of 13 on debut at Newmarket and can only be watched.

Gelded son of Camelot who fetched €80,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to a Listed-placed performer in Italy. Worth a market check on debut for respected stable.

100/1
Daughter of Archipenko and a half-sister to a number of winners. Beaten quite a long way when fourth of seven in a Ffos Las novice contest and is likely to find several of these rivals too strong.

Forecasts

Cap Francais (8/13), Beat Le Bon (13/8), Bo Samraan (3/1), Davydenko (6/1), Lethal Guest (10/1), Young Merlin (20/1), Skymax (33/1), Jersey Wonder (50/1), Crackaway (50/1), Barb's Prince (50/1), Moon Artist (100/1)

Verdict

An interesting juvenile maiden which features several promising types and some well-bred newcomers. Davydenko may be the best of the latter brigade, but he will need to be useful to get the better of Cap Francais, Lethal Guest and BEAT LE BON. The selection ran a blinder on debut at Newbury and normal improvement should see him in the winner's enclosure.
  1. Beat Le Bon
  2. Cap Francais
  3. Lethal Guest
