11/4
Goodwood winner in June, but has not really progressed as might have been expected. Well held in handicap company last time and may find this opposition more to his liking.

La Roca Del Fuegoh1,t9

Well behind in novice contests at Chelmsford and Chepstow. May well be the sort to do better when he goes handicapping.

Sir Busker10
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-1| J: David Egan| T: W J Knight
11/2
Sir Prancelot colt who cost €25,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to 5f/6f winner Nag's Wag. Some promise when fifth of eight on debut at Kempton and should improve.

Naughty Rascal
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: Tom Marquand| T: R Hannon
5/4
Kyllachy colt who cost 19,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to winning juvenile Pirate Look. Stable boasts plenty of two-year-old talent and this one has been found a weak race in which to make his debut.

Beaten a long way in both starts on turf at this venue. A first-time visor needs to have a dramatic effect if he is to get in the shake-up.

Wayfaring Stranger
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-12| J: Adam J McNamara(3)| T: J A Osborne
10/1
A stable companion of Society Shock, he is a colt by Sir Prancealot who cost 10,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to six winners. Worth a market check on debut.

Dreaming Of Love26
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-8| J: George Wood| T: M Wigham
11/1
Decent debut when fifth of 13 at Windsor, but failed to back that up at the same venue last time. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this and that looks her most likely way forward.

Sohni Kudi70
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-7| J: Kieren Fox| T: M J Attwater
33/1
Fourth of 10, beaten 15L, in a similar contest over 7f at this track on her latest outing. Not without ability, but nurseries should provide her with her best opportunity.

Tigerinmytank19
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-6| J: K T O'Neill| T: Tom Clover
10/1
Signs of ability in both runs at Yarmouth and Ripon. Could get involved, but needs to take a step forward.

Forecasts

Naughty Rascal (5/4), Society Shock (11/4), Sir Busker (11/2), Tigerinmytank (10/1), Wayfaring Stranger (10/1), Dreaming Of Love (11/1), Sohni Kudi (33/1), La Roca Del Fuego (50/1), Milldean Billy (66/1)

Verdict

As the only previous winner in the race, Society Shock has to concede weight all round and looks vulnerable. Dreaming Of Love, Sir Busker and Tigerinmytank have hinted at ability, but this may go to a newcomer in the shape of NAUGHTY RASCAL, who represents a yard with plenty of juvenile talent and appeals on breeding.
  1. Naughty Rascal
  2. Sir Busker
  3. Tigerinmytank
