Impressive winner at Ayr last week and a penalty should not stop him. The prospect of give in the ground might judged on his previous efforts.
Last of six on his return from a two year break. Did not show enough to suggest he is ready to exploit a good mark.
Runner-up to Savannah Moon in this 12 months ago and reopposes on significantly better terms. However, he is not in such good form now.
Won this last year off 4lb lower on similar ground and has won only start since when conditions were soft. Stable had a couple of winners over the weekend and she is back to her optimum distance.
Made all to land two races in 2017 for Sally Haynes. Made most until lack of a run told on stable debut two months ago and that run bode well given it was so close to his best.
Ideally suited to a soft surface and he was placed at Catterick off this mark in April. Best form these days though has come over trips of at least 1m2f.
Won for his former yard (William Haggas) but failed to progress and has been well beaten on all four starts for his current yard. Best watched until he shows something having looked out of sorts so far this year.
Gained her fourth success of the year and now requires another career best to add another. Yet to win beyond a mile which is a big deal on a stiff track like this.
Down to his last winning mark and suited to a stiff mile on soft ground. Not at his best this year and both wins have come under Daniel Tudhope.
Developed a liking for Southwell during the winter. Has a bit to prove back on turf after seven months off.
Placed in four of five starts for William Haggas but well beaten on both starts for new yard. Hood fitted.
Took advantage of an errant runner-up to score at Hamilton. Suited to some give in the ground but probably has little in hand of his current mark.
Lightly raced and ran well on stable debut when finishing 2L fifth over 7f at Thirsk (good-to-soft) in April. Heavily backed that day and had to come from a long way back. Well beaten since but down in the weights and conditions are favourable.

Kevin Ryan has won this twice in four attempts and has gone close on two other occasions. Last year's winner SAVANNAH MOON is just 4lb higher in the weights and has similar underfoot conditions. Markhan will be popular following his runaway Ayr success but he needs the ground to dry out, as does Prancing Oscar. Bahkit and Motahassen are both better than their last runs indicate and make each-way appeal. Plansina has had a stellar year but her latest penalty sets her a stiff task at a trip which may be beyond her best.
- Savannah Moon
- Bahkit
- Motahassen
