His York second sets the standard and shows he handles soft ground. Justified short odds last week and rider 7-22 for the yard..

Champs Elysees colt who cost €32,000 as yearling. First foal from a dam that was winner over 1m2f in France. Outpaced on debut and he will be a better prospect granted more time and a longer trip.

Dark Angel colt went through the sales ring for 200,000 gns last October. Stable having a quiet year with this age group but still worth a check in the market.

75,000 gns son of Intello out of a winning miler who handled soft ground. Stable enjoying a better strike rate with this age group in 2018 so one to keep an eye on.

Compton Place half-brother to useful 1m5f winner Bank Bonus and 1m winner Cool The Jets. Shaped well on both starts but has looked in need of a stiffer test one each occasion.

Cape Cross colt who cost 40,000gns as a yearling. Took a step forward last time but needs to find a great deal more to figure.

Has shown some ability but not enough to be judged a threat in this company. Will be of more interest in nurseries.

Dalakhani half-brother to Taws and Duke Of Bronte who have done so well for this stable. Both were better with time and longer trips.

Full brother to Yorbelucky who won over C&D for these connections on heavy ground. It took him a few races to open his account and no surprise if it is a similar story for his sibling.

Forecasts

Hot Team (11/10), Leroy Leroy (9/4), Havana Rocket (6/1), Three Comets (6/1), Brawny (12/1), Dark Jedi (20/1), Hawridge Storm (20/1), Lucky Circle (25/1), Majestic Mac (28/1), Prince Of Harts (33/1), Bonneville (50/1), Ocean Rouge (66/1)

Verdict

HOT TEAM has the form in the book and has also shown he is perfectly at home on a soft surface. Brawny, Three Comets and Hawridge Storm are the most interesting of the newcomers, but the most significant threat may come from Havana Rocket who was very green on his debut and hails from a yard in very good form. Leroy Leroy looks in need of further although the easier conditions may offset an apparent lack of finishing pace.
