Seeking a four-timer after three wins at around this trip, including over C&D last time. Another 6lb to shoulder for that, but keeps on finding enough and with 5lb claimed again, another win is far from ruled out.

0-8 on AW, though placed three times, including when 3½L behind Conkering Hero last time. More needed, but has place claims.

Won here over 1m4f in May, when 6lb lower and ran well next time when stepped up to 1m6f at Lingfield (turf). Worth a try over this far, though pedigree suggests that he does have stamina to prove over such a marathon trip. On a competitive mark.

Dual 1m6f winner here, the more recent in April being when 3lb lower. Beaten 3L from this mark on only subsequent run in this code, at Southwell. CV suggests that he will struggle to win from this mark, but has each-way claims.

Has won three times at around 1m4f, all on turf. Has stamina to prove over a trip as far as this too and, although well treated on some of last year's AW form, he has a few questions to answer.

Has won over this trip over hurdles, but not beyond 1m5f on the Flat. Sees it out well enough, but often finds one or two too good and the percentage call is that the same will happen again here.

Verdict

A tricky race to call in that most of them find it hard to win from their current marks, so perhaps it is safest to with CONKERING HERO. Admittedly, his task is becoming more arduous now, but he is at least finding enough to win his races and he may do so again. Cry Wolf was well held by him last time and despite being better off at the weights, it may not do to take that too literally. Gravity Wave is perhaps a bigger potential danger, while Scrafton and Innoko are not written off.
