Was back to something like his old self when a 5L third at Yarmouth recently (1m1f, good to firm), but could not build on that at Musselburgh last time. Now 4lb below the mark from which he won over C&D last season, so not written off.
Dual C&D winner (good to firm/good to soft) in 2016, and is at his best with a bit of ease in the ground. Now 14lb lower than his last win, at Ripon 13-months ago and not ruled out after a couple of competitive recent efforts.
All five wins have been from 7f-1m on good/fast ground. 5lb lower than the last of those and beaten less than 2L last time from 1lb higher. Should be thereabouts if he can overcome a poor draw.
Has three wins from 7f-1m2f, on soft/heavy ground. 2lb higher than the most recent of those, and was beaten just a short head from this mark at Beverley last time (7½f, good to soft). Needs rain to give him his best chance of success.
Has won four times from 7f-1m and is currently 1lb below the most recent of those. Well below that level of form in three starts since, but couldn't rule out a revival from this mark.
7f Brighton winner (good to firm) a year ago in novices' company. Was a 3½L third at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm) in June, when 4lb higher, but below that level since. Sold for 15,000gns and makes debut for this trainer today. Market check.
Sole turf win was over 7f in 2015, but has twice won over 1m on AW since then. Has run plenty of decent races but not found quite enough in the closing stages and recent efforts suggest that she is one to watch this time.
Scored on AW at Newcastle (1m) two starts ago, when 8lb lower. Beaten a head last time from 5lb lower than this, but that was the best of his short career. Unexposed and interesting from this inside draw now back on turf.
0-17 and has made the frame just once in that time. Readily opposed.
Prolific winner, largely over this trip and at Redcar, though has won twice here. Now 13lb lower than his last handicap win at Ayr 15-months ago, but recent efforts suggest that he probably has each-way claims at best here.
Went close at both Wetherby and here over this trip earlier in the season, though was well held at Thirsk last time. Up another 2lb, but is unexposed and not written off if she can bounce back.

Little Jo (7/2), Beverley Bullet (9/2), Shouranour (5/1), Kiwi Bay (6/1), Zeshov (13/2), Totally Magic (10/1), Aliento (12/1), Jo's Girl (12/1), Al Ozzdi (16/1), Billy Roberts (16/1), Mister Moosah (28/1), Rosy Ryan (33/1)
An open heat, where a revival from Billy Roberts would not surprise, while Shouranour and Zeshov could also go well. Al Ozzdi would be interesting if supported after a change of scenery at home, but the suggestion is LITTLE JO, who is on the way up and could break his maiden tag this time.
- Little Jo
- Zeshov
- Billy Roberts
