Returned from a five month absence with a very good and unlucky second on the AW when short of room. Open to progress back on the turf and is racing off an attractive mark.
Didn't really progress from debut win when trained by William Haggas but finished off with a decent fourth on the AW after a slow start. Didn't race for Julia Fielden and now makes new stable debut. On a decent mark but absence to overcome.
Back down to last winning mark but since lengthy absence has finished last in three starts this campaign. Best watched till signs of a revival.
Won on seasonal reappearance but remains on a 5lb higher mark. Not disgraced last twice but others look better handicapped and he may be best fresh.
Still open to improvement back on a turf surface and didn't get the clearest passage when well backed on his reappearance. However all four career wins have come after an absence.
Stepped up on Newmarket debut when third at Windsor but was a distant second last start. Respected for leading trainer on handicap debut with improvement likely.
Broke through over the C&D last month on just his seventh start. Has a 6lb penalty to defy but is open to further improvement as he had previously raced too freely. Looks a leading contender.
Has scored 17 times in his career and back to last winning mark. However has been well beaten in both starts this campaign and possible time is catching up.
Won on the AW when trained by Joseph O'Brien in Ireland and turf debut defeat last start can be dismissed as he didn't handle the heavy ground. Has joined a shrewd yard and market support would be interesting.
Had previously been better suited by an AW surface but has done well in three starts for his new trainer and won on his 20th start on turf last time. This is tougher but can be competitive again despite a 6lb penalty.
Has improved this season winning two from four. including with a bit in hand last time. Form doesn't look anything special and this is much more competitive but respected off 5lb higher mark.
Forecasts
Gift Of Raaj (2/1), Whitkirk (9/2), Seaborough (9/2), Thundercloud (5/1), Stringybark Creek (8/1), Ebbisham (11/1), Robin Weathers (20/1), Casina Di Notte (22/1), Cosmic Ray (28/1), Tagle (40/1), Pick A Little (100/1)
A very open race with several holding a realistic winning chance. Stringybark Creek and Thundercloud are in good form this campaign and both hold opportunities coming off a last race win. Seaborough was also a recent winner here and is open to improvement now his trainer has found his best trip. Slight preference is for CASINA DI NOTTE who looks well weighted and should improve for his seasonal debut when he didn't get the clearest of runs. Gift Of Raaj is lightly raced and open to plenty of progress while Tagle should be noted in the betting on his British and stable debut.
- Casina di Notte
- Seaborough
- Stringybark Creek
