Finished in this race a year ago and returns now rated just 4lb lower and with little in formbook to merit a selection.

Been running well over hurdles of late and is fit enough but hasn't run on the Flat since bell beaten at this meeting 12 months ago. Watch betting.

Rated just 1lb higher than when finishing third over C&D in September last year. Needs to dig out a bit more in this competitive event.

Didn't achieve much at Chester when last spotted 33 days ago and remains a modest campaigner on the Flat and over hurdles. Others preferred.

Two-time winner already this and has a decent draw but those wins ensure he has well and truly outed himself and the handicapper might have his measure now.

Run three times this season already and has not sparkled, would need a big jump forward if wanting to have designs on this prize.

Has been catching the eye with solid run of late, runner up at the Curragh last time over 1m4f and runs from the same mark now, interesting contender.

Well beaten at Cork last month over the trip and has been campaigned over timber aside from that this term. First-time tongue is added and there's work to be done.

Foiled at Killarney last time having gone off a well-backed favourite (finished third). Dow in trip now and likely will have major say for top connections.

Consistent performer, though doesn't win many (2-17). Has made the frame here before over different trip and similar aspirations could be carried now having won well at Sligo last time.

Some promise shown in starts at Goodwood and Hamilton recently and is dropping down the ratings to a dangerous perch but the UK raider is going into a warm event here.

Lightly-raced sort, suffered heavy at Navan in April on seasonal bow / handicap debut and hasn't been spotted since. Would needs to market confidence before getting behind him.

Dual-purpose performer with 4-27 record on the Flat so far, has not been showing much form in either code recently and easier to make case elsewhere.

Twice a winner earlier in the season over shorter trips but was disappointing over this C&D earlier in the week and hard to see enough turnaround to be a force here.

Verdict

Happy Company has made the frame here in the past and is worth considering now following a ready success at Sligo last time out, though this is evidently tougher. Smart jumper Townshend is also likely to be on the premises following a solid run over 2m1f at Killarney last time. He represents the in-form Mullins yard and has Colin Keane up to help. Camlann was second in this race a year ago and returns from the same handicap mark, he will be popular, but DASMYHOSS has caught the eye recently and Robbie McNamara's charge should give this a decent shot.
  1. Dasmyhoss
  2. Townshend
