12-1 but never involved when 17L last of seven in a decent York novices' event last month. Needs a lot of improvement on that to figure.
€16,000 yearling, 12,500gns foal. Half-sister to six winners, mainly sprinters, the best of whom was 6f-7f winner Empirical Power. Dam placed 6f/1m1f. Stable two-year-olds 7%, but always worth a market check as occasionally has debut winners.
Stepped up significantly on her Catterick debut when ½L second at Redcar (5f, good to firm) in May. The winner franked that form at York from a mark of 77 and the third has won twice since. Should be capable of going close.
Dam unraced half-sister to 6f juvenile winner X Raise and 6f-7f winner Arize out of half-sister to 6f juvenile Group 2 winner Lizard Island and dam of US Grade 1 1m winner Corinthian. Stable (usually 11%) has not had turf two-year-old win this year.
First foal. Dam 5f winner, out of half-sister to 6f two-year-old Group 3 winner Mixed Blessing, is granddaughter of 5f winner. Stable among the winners and is on the board with its juveniles this season (usually 14%). Market check.
25-1 and beaten over 6L when green on debut at Nottingham (5f, good to firm) recently. Can improve on that, but will need to if she is to bridge the gap this time.
Well held on both runs over 6f at Nottingham and more recently Thirsk. Looking as though she will appeal more when she has a handicap mark.
Well beaten in both runs over this trip, on debut at Thirsk in May and then here last time. Can only watch.
180,000gns two-year-old. Second foal. Full-sister to 7f (at two) winner Dark Liberty (inc German Listed). Dam a Norwegian 5f/6f winner. Nice pedigree and looks the most interesting of the trip from this stable. Market check.
Was supported before running well when 2¼L second over C&D on her debut earlier this month. That was a good performance in the context of this race. Can improve and has claims.
Ninth foal. Half-sister to winners Survived (5f at two), Six Wives (5f, inc at two) and three other sprint winners, out of a 5f two-year-old winner. Appeals on pedigree and top yard's juveniles at a better-than-average 16% this term. Interesting.
Forecasts
Queen Jo Jo (4/6), Out Of Angels (5/1), Cheerupmylove (7/1), Royal Destiny (9/1), Ginvincible (14/1), Angel Sarah (16/1), Cheeky Lola (25/1), Frosted Lass (25/1), Farol (50/1), Lady Rouda (50/1), Newgate Angel (100/1)
Royal Destiny is a very interesting newcomer here and should be monitored for any market confidence, and the same applies to Frosted Lass. However, experience can prove invaluable in these contests and CHEERUPMYLOVE's second run has worked out very well, so she is taken to go one better. Queen Jo Jo looks to be the danger.
- Cheerupmylove
