On a long, losing run, but hits the frame quite often which means he gets little respite from the handicapper. Headed close home when third over C&D last time and has each-way claims again.

Second run since undergoing wind surgery when a good second of seven at Newbury on latest outing. Has been raised 2lb, but only win came over 6f at this track, so all looks in place for a bold show.

Returning from a lengthy break when third of six on turf at this venue last month. Should be sharper for the run and has a C&D success on her CV.

Experienced campaigner who has 10 wins to his name. most recently at Wolverhampton in February. Has run well off this mark on his last two starts and should do so again as he bids to replicate last year's success in this contest.

Course winner over 6f in February and ran a fair race off this mark at Bath last time. May find this minimum trip on the short side.

Won over 5f at Chelmsford and over C&D before finishing fourth of seven at this venue. Return to the AW is a plus, but higher handicap rating makes life difficult.

Only limited promise in three starts at Wolverhampton. Drops in trip for handicap debut and represents a shrewd, in-form stable. One to note in the betting.

Winner of five races, all of them on turf. Some promise at Brighton two starts ago, but record on the AW suggests she is going to struggle.

Remains a maiden after 16 starts, but latest efforts over further have been encouraging. Handicapper has done her few favours, though, so a place maybe the best she can hope for again.

Forecasts

Frank Cool (11/4), Major Assault (11/2), Staffa (6/1), Llamrei (6/1), Ask The Guru (7/1), Boodley (7/1), Hurricane Alert (8/1), Sandfrankskipsgo (14/1), Flowing Clarets (16/1), Kyllukey (20/1)

Verdict

A tight sprint handicap in which few can be ruled out with any confidence, but FRANK COOL may be the answer after his good effort at Newbury last time on his second start since undergoing wind surgery. Any market confidence behind Boodley would be significant, while the likes of Sandfrankskipsgo, Staffa, last year's winner Ask The Guru and Llamarei will rightly have their supporters.
